Dengeki PlayStation explains when you defeat a monster in this area another one will appear which makes this sound like a challenge dungeon.

Assuming this is paid DLC, this is where I get confused. Isn’t the point of these enhanced/complete versions to have exactly that? Complete?

    • Syn

Odds are its free, seeing as the first game only had free dlc, wouldnt see the logic in turning away from that now.

      • MrRobbyM

I didn’t keep up with DLC news for the first game. I’t especially not too often that you see ‘free’ and ‘DLC’ in the same sentence so that’s good.

  • Kornelious

Well….that’s never a good sign if your prepping DLC for an expansion…

    • Syn

Free DLC is a bad thing???? oh my word, STOP THE PRESSES…ABASH TO FREE DAY ONE EXTRA CONTENT DLC!!!!

      • Kornelious

Oh it’s free? Sorry I’m so used to Capcom’s way of DLC X(

  • 無尽合体ブランタコブスキ

Soul Sacrifice Delta isn’t an expansion, guys.

    • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

? I thought Delta is more or less the same for MH Tri to Tri Ultimate?

It’s a new game with new story. I don’t think it will be a sequel or prequel, because the story of the original makes you think that the cycle repeats over and over again. It has the daughter of a support character of the original, so I guess it could be a sequel but I don’t know yet. Also the scans I have seen show “death characters” coming back in new forms, so as the story goes, I would have to play it to know.

It also has new bosses, new characters, new spells, new black rites, some new ways to beat archfiends, all the archfiends from the previous game(story wise, it makes sense to have multiple times the same boss, so that’s a plus to me), improved AI for NPC partners(yeeeees, the original AI partners were just there to die XD) and if you are a graphics whore, it has better textures than the original. I surely forgot something but that’s all I could remember

Edit: I just remember: There will be some kind of guild system. 3 guilds to be more specific. It aso has heavy ties with the story, so it’s kinda clever. Avalon who excels at sacrificing, Sanctuariam who excels at saving, and Grimm who excels at saying “fuck you” to the gods and leave things to fate.
I don’t know how this will play out, but apparently the guilds will fight for territory dominance. If done correctly this could be simply huge to me.

It’s probably safe to assume it’s sequal

      • Dylan Anantha

It’s more like Lord of Apocalypse, almost the entire game is rebuilt from the ground up using old and new assets, except Delta will have way more new content compared to Apocalypse.

    meanwhile overseas….

This isn’t a bad thing when you consider that all of the extra monsters/arena DLC in the first game was free.

  • MaximDualBlade

I hope this is free. With all the free dlc in the first game, they spoiled me XD and also I like this kind of dlc too, because we already have like 60 archfiends(original and delta ones) and that’s a lot.

At the moment all the things they have addressed from the first are to my tastes, so I’m just hoping for a limited edition here and I dream of this “Ok it’s March 6th, so we can stop teasing the west and announce the release date for April” and my veins will explode(or is it implode?) of happiness :)

  • Kumiko Akimoto

You know paid or free what if dlc is there to keep the cost of the game to the normal retail price?

  • nonscpo

I would love for an official from Sony to confirm if delta is a sequel or definitive version, the not knowing is upsetting

    • MaximDualBlade

Read my comment up to see what new things there are. If you have any doubts I invite you to check for yourself the facts online, but with my comment I think you will have a decent starting point to answer your question

    Oh cool.

  • Goufunaki

    Sounds like fun. :)

Sounds neat. Now they need to work on a NA/EU release date.
