Square Enix Registers Trademark For Final Fantasy VII’s Shinra Company

Square Enix keeps saying that a Final Fantasy VII remake is too big of a project to take on, but perhaps they’re doing something else with the Final Fantasy VII universe. A trademark for Shinra Company was registered in Japan.

Shinra Company was the power company in the world of Final Fantasy VII that also had a space division and the elite SOLDIER group. The trademark was registered for use with video games so we can cross out those nifty Shinra business card cases. Hmm… well Before Crisis: Final Fantasy VII was centered on the Turks so maybe Square Enix is planning another spinoff?
