Wait what? Nito and the Firelink chamber, so this will will revisit places from DkS1 or be an actual sequel and not just a same game in different place and lore? O_O

    • 9breaker

To answer you question, Dark Souls 2 takes place way into the future where the events of Dark Souls 1 is lost history. Drangleic being Anor Londo and etc.

Dark Souls and its sequel are it’s own thing. Dark Souls 2 is a sequel to the first game set many years after the first game. Not sure if that’s confirmed but that’s what I hear. I don’t think you’ll be revisiting any areas but it’s a sequel.

    • Suzaku Kururugi

It will most likely not revisit the places from DaS, but DaS is canonically linked with DaSII. I think II takes place somewhere in the north of the continent/world.

    • Symbol de Au

A lot of the footage came from the first game. Some of it even came from a trailer of the first game.

    • MaximDualBlade

Its set many many years after Dark Souls, and the events of the first one are but a legend in the 2

Same here when i see Nitto i was like ‘whhhaaaaatttt ????’.
But it looks like the current theory is that it’s a “dark lord ending” sequel to dark soul.

Even if it wasn’t, the flame will still burn out. Who knows how long it had. Hell, killing yourself for the other ending maybe could of help lasted the flame a couple mouths longer.

        • Xerain

In that regard maybe they did it such that either ending could work?

          • Derek E Nay

Yea, any ending will work. The flame will go out one day; unless they sacifice more humanity every so often it will not be able to stay up. (But lets hope DS2 will give us more hints about the relationship between the Lord Souls)

“This isn’t about death. This is about what you learned from death” Dang! Powerful message right there. Almost makes me want to go back and face False King Allant once more.

crossing fingers for PS4 “upscale” similar to Tomb Raider or even Black Flag.

this isn’t about a trailer, this is about my wallet

  • Hero

That was epic. With the trailer showing all these scenes from DkS1 I feel like something of nostalgia is going to happen near end game. I just hope that I can hold my tears back. Oh wait….

    Damn it!

    Ooooooooooooooooooh baby.

Anyone else gotten a VERY Creepy CHILL down their spine when you saw all those heads were bowing down…

I always found that character very creepy in original dark souls.

    • Asura

That was the ending to Dark Souls…

      • lordsofskulls

;p what i was trying to say that guy is freaky looking >.>

  • DanielGearSolid

    That was perfect

It was cryptic, while clearly conveying it’s message at the same time
