Arc System Works’ PlayStation 4 Title Is A Mahjong Game

By Spencer . February 24, 2014 . 11:38pm

Arc System Works had a game ready for the PlayStation 4 launch. No it’s not Guilty Gear or BlazBlue. They released Absolute E-Mahjong, a mahjong game where you play against six female opponents. Win and you can unlock illustrations.

If this looks familiar you may have seen the E-Mahjong game Arc System Works released for PlayStation Vita. The PS4 version costs 1,500 yen as a PSN download.

    -_-

If you don’t like it, don’t play it; more games is never a bad thing.

… but what is sad is that the Japanese PS4 store is so empty that you actually notice this game there. -_-

Thats probably couse there are hardly any good games for ps4 yet. (This might be one of the best, so far…)

  • hazelnut1112

This is just…my god, what the hell?
    IT’S FUCKING NOTHING!!!

  • Thatguy

Wow… just… wait, is today April 1 or what?

  • Shippoyasha

I think it looks very nice. Pretty much making a Saki game without it actually being Saki.

At least it’s good they’re getting their feet wet on PS4 development with these small games.

    • Hound

Actually.. based on the characters, it seems no different from the multitude of Mahjong games with overly happy flaw-free girls that have been released since the DOS and PC-98 days.

    Boo-urns!

  • Go2hell66

its ok guys , Guilty Gear is coming what else do you want?

    • Death Metal

      More Guilty Gear.

    • z_merquise

      Guilty Gear Mahjong.

    • RichyGaming

      BlazRed

    • Lelouch Vi Britannia

A Guilty Gear X Blazblue Crossover Fighting game. I’d buy Day 1.
Or heck Uncancel Capcom Vs. Arc System Works fighting game which was cancelled 11 years ago.

  • Amagidyne

I actually like Mahjong, so I wouldn’t have minded playing this (not that it’ll ever see a release in the west anyway).

  • Akemi Nakajima

I don’t know but I got a good laugh at this.

  • pekikuubik

    Zawa… Zawa…

  • 無尽合体ブランタコブスキ

FUCK YEAH LITTLE GIRLS PLAYING MAHJONG

  • Hagaren

    Mahjong harem anime confirmed?

  • Abysswalker90

Ah, yes, the good old “girl for every fetish” formula.

    • biskmater

Well, it is either that or “every girl for one fetish” and that one has less demographic appeal.

  • Pdugna

Let them do whatever else they want, GG is looking great and will just get better so >.>

A Mahjong game for a Japanese platform? Do tell more of this most original interesting endeavor.

  • rurifan

For a game that exists purely on the appeal of pretty anime girls, it sure has mediocre artwork.

  • maxobiwan

    Epic waste of good technology

  • Callonia

    Arisa!

  • Damarius Wingfield

Oh Arc System Works……What the hell are you DOIN, good sirs!

  • fyi1191

Need a Saki cast cross over to teach them some supernatural Mahjong.
And ROFL stomp the girls above.

  • fireemblembeast

Incidentally, I just started watching Saki! XD

  • NeoPancho

Yeah, it’s not pushing the PS4 or anything like that, but It looks nice to me… if i had a PS4 i could see myself buying it.

I would really love a new Suchi Pai game for Wii U, 3DS, PS3 or PS4…

  • WyattEpp

Just so we’re clear, if they released something like Jan Ryu Mon in the West for Playstation something-or-other, I’d be all over that (along with a whole group of my friends).

This doesn’t look like it has multiplayer, though. (i.e. it’s worthless.)
