Is Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunter’s Opening Is Arranged By Nobuo Uematsu

By Eugene . February 24, 2014 . 3:31pm

Dark visual novel/RPG hybrid Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunter’s opening “Shoot that Crimson Sky” is sung by CASHELL and arranged by Nobuo Uematsu. It’s also very, very red.

Hopefully the game will see a localization in the west, although one wonders how the very unique method of expressing yourself in the game—via a series of both emotional and sensory responses—might translate over. The premise is suitably interesting, including having to hunt down invisible ghosties by laying out sensors and traps in a planning mode before swapping to an on-head camera for moves to play out.

Why you? Because you just so happened to be there. Ahh, the life of a transfer student.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters is slated for release on April 10, 2014 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

if you took the title and the music away, I would have thought it was related to persona 5

I Was Thinking The Exact Same Thing

  • Bad Genome

    I don’t know. Is it?

  • Juan Andrés Valencia

I’m so glad that this game can run on the Vita and apparently the Virtual Boy.

Seriously though, this looks badass, any chances for an american or european release?

Well, XBLAZE did got localized so we shall se.

Huh, the song’s in English. That’s pretty cool.

  • TheManWithPants

IIRC, CASHELL is the band that did the theme song for Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity, “Un-Gravitify” as well. Pretty cool stuff.

    >Character design: Kurahana Chinatsu
    Hype went up immediately.

I would prefer if the OP show some character images though but w/e.

Thanks, yeah I just looked at some stuff and I remembered this was a game I’d put a mental sticky on but forgot about.

The almost 0% chance this gets localized makes me sad. I even bought Sorcery Saga to support the quirky games even though it seems that one was a bit divisive (not quite kusoge, and has its charms).

        • No probs. Same for me as well, I’ve got a mental sticky for this game, too.

Does seem that those are the odds for this game. Still need to pick it up one of these days, among others (especially for the 3DS).

It reminds me a lot of Ghost Hunt, but I’m sure the whole Scooby Doo Squad x Spooky Highschool trope is used to death in Japan, so it’s probably not a unique setup.

That was a mighty guilty pleasure for me to watch, and this is the closest thing. It’s the same way with Gravity Rush and Kiki’s Delivery Service; my favorite Ghibli film, and playing as Kat is the closest I’ll get to playing a Kiki videogame :/

But yeah, if only someone like Aksys picked them up wink nudge.

This was pretty interesting but, I wanna see a Gameplay trailer

  • The True Ending of P5. All that red.

Didn’t feel like a game OP – an anime OP more like.
