Hear ye, hear ye. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is bringing a simple but elegant event to its hallowed online halls with the Little Ladies Day.

The event celebrates the return of spring to the lands of Eorzea, and includes what appears to be a Princess Doll contest. Players will be able to several spring-themed items, including an absolutely beautiful Wind-up Edvya doll minion, peach blossom earrings, a peach blossom confetti box and a sweet rice cake food item that boosts experience gains by 3% for 30 minutes and vitality by 8%.

Little Ladies Day looks awfully like Hina Matsuri, celebrated on March 3rd, though obviously with some in-game differences. The event will run from February 28th until March 13th. For the quest giver’s locations and a better look at the items, you can check out Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s main website.

    That’s nice, kupo.

  • Enma_Kozato

I’m still slightly disappointed the earrings aren’t a headpiece. Would have made a nice aesthetic touch for casual and role play outfits.

    • Kamakuma

Totally off topic but when I saw your avy I was totally sure like that’s Enma for KHR… Then thought naw that can’t be then I read your name… x’DD

    • PersonaSpace

Actually, if your characters ears are visible, earrings will show up! Same with rings and bracelets if the appropriate body parts aren’t covered! It’s hard to see since they’re so small, but you can see them on my character here http://t.co/ud29GrMeOO

      • Enma_Kozato

I was talking more along the lines of the flower being in a character’s hair XD While I personally play a male miqo’te, my boyfriend is a female lalafell who I would just love seeing with a cute hair accessory such as a flower.

  • Monterossa

Still no yukatas… I’m waiting for it so long.

    • Enma_Kozato

Aren’t yukata typically worn in the summer though? I hope we can get them this year since we can have more summer events.

    • xXDGFXx

Yukatas and Kimonos, two of the best things ever created….

      • Ric Vazquez

        Amen

    • Rintarou

Yeah if it’s anything like XI it’ll be a summer event. :D

    • Corey Owens

Yukatas were in 1.0. I still have mine.

This is a beautifully themed event. Been waiting for it =)

Doll festival in Japan, I’m actually glad they did include their personal holidays in Final Fantasy XIV in similar vein to World of Warcraft, it actually looks like this game is going to have many expansions and hope they just include useful classes with independent abilities in the next expansion and not include classes which are of no use, great for MMORPG players bad for those who are waiting on FFXV and KH3 !!

As much as I want to see the red mage in the game, it will be extremely hard to implement since the jobs are covered by black mage and white mage.. Bravely Default shows how jobs can and cannot work in this game and was probably the basis of designing specific classes, if they include useless classes for just being there cause they are in Final Fantasy, this game would crash so hard like Everquest and FFXI where half the classes are useless

  • NintendoPSXTheSecond

I skipped out on the Valentines day one but with a super adorable and memorable little minion doll such as Edvya I can’t miss this one!

  • Mrgrgr and Unacceptable World

I really like this went MMO tries to include what happen in our place with real event inside the game here.^_^ Like the Sakura viewing inside PSO2.T_T

  • CirnoLakes

    *gasp*
    So adorable!

Japanese traditions and festivals are… so nice. I love Hina Matsuri.
