Samurai Warriors 4’s Holy Orders Pray Aloud For Your Salvation

By Eugene . February 28, 2014 . 4:31pm

Magic runs rampant in the world of Samurai Warriors 4. Just ask the Lady Hayakawa if you don’t believe it. And as sure as there’s a sun and moon, there’s another force equally powerful in religion. Today’s foursome believe that the souls of the damned need to be given a bit of a nudge to get there, so it seems.

Uesugi Kenshin:

Famously known for his constant clashes with the Tiger of Kai, Takeda Shingen, Uesugi Kenshin is also known for his devout worship and following of the tenets of Bishamonten. He’s sometimes called the Avatar of Bishamonten, so it’s no surprise he’s able to project himself into a larger version of himself that towers on the battlefield, making quick work of foes.

Mistress Aya:

Uesugi Kenshin’s elder sister, she was also a nun. A nun with a wicked sharp wand of ice and lightning.

Kanetsugu Naoe:

One of the most loyal retainers of Kenshin, he continued to uphold the beliefs of the clan even after his master’s death. His protective charms can be used to summon a variety of effects, ranging from whirlwinds to simple explosions. Who needs gunpowder?

Yoshitsugu Otani:

There’s very little really known about the man called Yoshitsugu. Some say he was even stricken with leprosy by the time of the infamous battle of Sekigahara, which might explain why he’s all covered up. He’s also said to have been an extremely close friend of Mitsunari Ishida. Irregardless of that, his bell charm is more than capable of leaving behind some surprises while he takes care of business elsewhere.

Samurai Warriors 4 will be released for the PlayStation 3 and Vita March 20th in Japan.
