Arcana Heart 3: Love Max Screens Get A Little Steamy

By Spencer . March 11, 2014 . 12:24am

Arc System Works is helping Examu bring Arcana Heart 3: Love Max to PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. This version of the all-girls fighting game has rebalanced characters, Arcana Eclipse moves, training mode, and ranked matches. Also added is an After Story which will have full voice acting. Examu hasn’t said much about it, but it looks like it has a hot tub scene.

Arcana Heart 3: Love Max is slated for release on May 29 for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

  • Anesia Hunter

Is it wrong that I came here because of the title?

    • Servant BerserCAR

No worries. You’re not the only one.

    • Arrngrim

      Bring on the bewbz! (~.~)/

Are any of the AH releases got localized? Cause if not I’mma get this in Jap. It doesn’t matter anyway since it’s a fighting game.

    • TheBlackRabbit

      Arcana heart 3 sir.

    • Sangaz

Arcana Heart 3 got released in EU. Dunno about the states but it probably did. I’ve got the Limited Edition box and I suck at the game. Still love it though.

      • Daverost

NA got AH3 long before EU, which made it hurt that much worse when you guys got a physical release with an LE (and for anyone that cared, a 360 version).

        • Hound

Don’t forget that we also had to wait a month if we didn’t get AH3 in the first couple days of release. Beause Playstation Network was hacked almost immediately afterward.

To make matters worse, the new Mortal Kombat was released on the same day as AH3 and then Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition was released a month after the PSN went back online..

Arcana Heart 3 had a very unfortunate launch window

          • Daverost

Yeah, that outage sucked. I had a friend that was supposed to buy it with me, but didn’t at launch. And within the few days after it got hacked. Then he forgot about it and never did buy it, so I just kinda… played it by myself and with randoms.

      • Freakmasta

Sales also sucked in the states because it was released literally right before the infamous PSN Outage Incident in 2011.

    • Daverost

The first game on PS2 and the third game on PS3.

    • Hound

The original Arcana Heart (PS2) was localized in the US by Atlus (I preferred its version of homing & clashing, but I can see why they’d be bad for tournaments.)

Aksys localized Arcana Heart 3 on the PSN in the US, Zen United did the physical release (360 & PS3) of AH3 in Europe.

  • Daverost

    Aksys plz
I need this. Directly into my veins.

  • Kornelious

Quite steamy indeed lol, Really hope we get this, I didn’t get the original cuz I heard about this so…..Don’t let me down!

  • Matty

I’m so dumb. It said Steamy and I half thought it meant a steam port

  • Pyrofrost

The screens are nice and all; but, I absolutely adore this cover art!

  • megaten666

Does this support widescreen for battles or it’s just 4:3 with sidebars again?

    • mikanko

The original supported widescreen, but the game is made for 4:3 in arcades, and that’s what most people choose to play it as.

Fighting games are largely about controlling space so giving players more space changes the game quite a bit from what it was originally balanced around. Also affected some combos(Petra’s specifically iirc because of wall bouncing projectiles).

  • Freakmasta

As I did enjoy playing the original AH3, I’ll definitely be picking this one up. On top of that, it’s cheaper than your average PS3 game.

  • Skode

Keen to see more details on the After Story mode… i loved the original version but if that aint up to scratch im not sure there is enough new content for me to bite even if this does become available to me locally.

  • Kayriss Wins

    Where is Weiss’ left hand?!

  • The game if it hits the states should just be an free update Instead of an physical release like in Japan. Since the price point is still unknown and the game in japan cost about 69.00$ us dollars. So hopefully they’ll do something about that. And those without the original game pays the price of 29.99 just like the original one.

    • ForteWily

If that is the case, then I would expect a bit of a wait…. if Guilty Gear’s NA update says anything.

      • Yeah, but i’ll take the wait instead of actually having to pay a full 69.00 us dollar for the japanese version. I’m guessing once it reaches NA it’ll be 29.99 like when it came down here in NA. But I really think that an update that’s just balancing and an extra storymode shouldn’t cause that much and should just be a free update. Since theres no new characters I believe. Either that, or go with this way those who bought the original gets the updated game for free and those who didn’t will have to pay 20.99$ for it.

        • ForteWily

I would have to agree with you, the pricing is something that is more agreeable for me when compared. If LM is a free update then I have already parted with my money, if not… and the price is as agreeable as it is currently.

That said, ASW did go all out on physical BBCP’s release. If they are going retail, I figure that they might as well go all out on it.

  • Firion Hope

Im getting this for sure, really want to try the series out. I hope it comes west but it is a fighter so I guess I could import

  • DarkLight

    Well we get this?

  • Keko

I hope they localize this; I bought the LE of the original. Can’t wait for that Vita edition!

  • leingod

Bathing scenes are always welcome :P … as long as it’s girls. Hope they localize this! I’d love to play it on my Vita :D
