Dragonball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 Brings More Kamehameha Card Action To 3DS

Like a fireball out of the blue, we’re getting Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 for the Nintendo 3DS. The video game is a sequel to the original video game version of Dragon Ball Heroes, a card-based arcade game in Japan.

Yes, that does include all the shiny rare and powerful cards that you would expect from a card game. Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 will itself feature more than 2000 different cards—mostly variants of the various Dragon Ball characters.

If you happen to own the first Nintendo 3DS game, you can also transfer your cards over. These character cards then get chosen by you to join a battle. Like the arcade game, players “place” their cards on the touch screen once battle is joined, and then control them using the stylus to move them about, attack or unleash Kamehameha special attacks.   As the above screencap shows, Goku can transform as his special ability.

Dragonball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 will be available for the Nintendo 3DS in 2014.

… I feel like asking “who asked for this”, but then it’s Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Heroes at that probably one of Bamco’s most popular arcadecardass games…

The first Ultimate Mission sold over 88K on the first week, which is an incredibly strong number considering both how their original HD releases (in comparison to a port of a game still using the Budokai/Infinite World engine) do these days.

I hope we will see a decent Dragon Ball action platformer (DRAGON BALL ADVANCED ADVENTURE), action puzzle game (ORIGINS) or RPG someday too…

I wouldn’t mind getting this one. At least there is an actual over world so it will feel like those DBZ RPG’s of old now. That theme song is terribad though.

It would be nice if they localized the first one. It would be real nice.
