Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 Shows Off More Movie-Edition Riders

By Sato . March 25, 2014 . 10:31pm

While the first game focused on the main Riders of the TV series, Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 will feature plenty of the movie edition Kamen Riders. 4Gamer gives us a look at Kamen Rider Baron and more, in the game’s latest update.

009 008

The main story mode of Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 is Chronicle mode. The prologue of it will be set at Ieyasu Castle, the same place from Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. The story starts out when Kamen Rider Gaim, Baron, and Ryugen wander into a mysterious room located in the castle.

Here’s a look at some of the special Riders who’ll be in the game.

Kamen Rider Bujin Gaim

011 012

It looks like Bujin Gaim won’t be backing up in Kamen Rider: Battride War 2, as he’ll be doing everything he can to get in the way of Gaim and the others.

Kamen Rider Gaim

013 014 017

Kamen Rider Gaim will be busting out with his different “Arms” abilities to take on foes. The above is a look at his Ichigo, Orange, and Pine Arms.

016 015

As for long-ranged attacks, Gaim will be able to use his Sonic Arrow attack, and finish up with some powerful slashes if enemies get too close.

Kamen Rider Baron

006 019

020 018

Following Gaim, Kamen Rider Baron will also be there to smash enemies with his Banana and Mango Arms.It looks like Baron and Gaim will be going at it in the midst of Chronicle mode’s story, too.

Kamen Rider Ryuki (from Kamen Rider Ryuki Episode Final)

005 022

021 023

Ryuki will have the ability be able to change to his “Ryuki Survive” form. This time, he’ll also be able to fight together with his Dragranzer summon.

Kamen Rider Faiz (from Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Lost)

024 025 026 027

Faiz will have the ability to pull off powerful tag-team moves with Auto Vajin. He’ll also be able change to his Blaster Form, which will be effective against all nearby enemies.

Kamen Rider: Battride War 2 will be released on June 26 for PlayStation 3 and Wii U.

  • Nanaki

    I can’t wait!!

  • Namuro

Man, how did we go from things like exploding drop-kick, beam saber, giant dragon, robot motorbike to banana and mango…

The game still looks good, anyway!

    • Nanaki

The same way Super Sentai went from battery-charged dinosuars to trains.

      • Namuro

But transforming-trains have been used before by the GoGoFive in 1999. Trains are considered very “cool” things in Japan (and it’s totally understandable, since they’re super modern, and efficient), and when done right, you can make some really great mechs out of them like the Grand Liner from GoGoFive, or Railspike from Transformers.

As for Kamen Rider… I supposed they want to promote uh… healthy eating?

        • Hentailover

Majority of designs in Gaim aren’t that “in your face”. Heck, Newly debuted kachidoki arms is amazing looking. But really, that is irrelevant.. amazing writing and story is. I’m really glad they went away from episodic formula and dare I say, got a bit darker (in a good way, not in “ooh, edgy” way)

          • Namuro

Oh, I’m not saying that Gaim is a bad series in any way. I just found its theme to be rather funny, is all.

The changes in theme in the past made sense to me like Ryuki with the cards, in response to card games, Faiz with the mobile phones, etc. But then suddenly there’s Gaimu, which I thought was a take on a simple Samurai theme, uses “fruits”, which was totally unexpected.
I personally like all the costume designs (and yes, I especially like… no, make that “love” Kachidoki arms), but I couldn’t help but wonder, how the production team came to such a decision to use fruits…

Then again, that’s exactly why we love Japan, they can make anything awesome!

          • Hentailover

If you read interviews, you’d know how they came to the idea of fruits… Toei came and said “fruits are popular with kids, do fruits” and production crew, producer and even Urobochi had to just sit there and go “fruits it is”…

          • Namuro

            Fair enough!

If they decided to start using popular food as a theme, then I demand a Glico-themed Kamen Rider!

    • KyoryuOrange

The way they’ve been used in Gaim honestly has been so well done that you wouldn’t know there’s been a huge change. They’ve done a fantastic job running with this fruit theme and taking it seriously.

    • Bruce

You know, I’m glad they used fruits ! it tricked a lot of people into believing that the series is gonna be all fun and games with fruit puns and such. Instead we got Shin megami tensei : fruity rider edition.

As for the game, maybe it would have been better if they waited so they can include Gaim’s last form and plot from Gaim’s movie.

  • refrain

I wish Kachidoki is in this game. That form is the best!

    • Abend

probably will be considering infinity was added last minute after it got revealed

      • KyoryuOrange

I wonder if we’ll see any other DLC?

        Maybe Rider 1…?

        • Abend

I just hope they end up actually making the movie riders playable the amount of wanting to play eternal and skull in the first game where overwhelming, especially considering they had full move sets.

    • Adinz

I think Kachidoki Arms will be available in this game. But Kiwami Arms (Gaim final form) probably DLC, since in tv series will debut Kiwami Arms in June.

    • Chaos_Knight

Ironically, it’s not even his final form! xD

  • Pyrofrost

God damn it! This game is looking AWESOME!
I have my collectors edition preordered, and I can’t wait. ^_^

  • Abend

    PINE ARMS! yesssssss

  • fairysun

    Rider Kick !!

  • Valtiel Ikari

I was expecting seing alternate outfit for takeshi, hayato and Shiro based on their updated costumes from the movies “Kamen Rider: the first” and “Kamen Rider: Next”

    • KyoryuOrange

Unfortunately, no Showa Riders are in this game in this first place.

      • Valtiel Ikari

I see. then my interest is considerably half dead.

  • KyoryuOrange

Uh, is there a reason my comments were deleted…?

I was just pointing out the information in the article, as well as it’s headline, isn’t entirely accurate.
