    PSN release…..Please? Pretty please?

    • Tom

This is a mobile game. Don’t even dream of it. It’s not Type-0.

      • Actually, if it’s on Android, it might come to Playstation Mobile, so it’s not too weird to make a hope for it. SE released Chaos Rings onto PSM too.

        • Kenny Loh

Yeah, i know, there having big chance it will coming for ps mobile, it the best way to make money if coming to playstation mobile.

        • Tom

Ohh, okay. But I still wish for a Type-0 release on PS Vita, maybe. If Type-0 and Valkyria Chronicles 3 were to come out on PS Vite I’d be happy to buy one in an instant.

          • Ric Vazquez

            Amen brother!

        • Ni ~Algidus~

Kakusei Million Arthur got ported to PS Mobile too.

  • Slickyslacker

It would be wise for, well, this to happen first, followed by a (probably Vita) release of Type-0, with eventually universal PSN releases for them both.

  • Total_Overdose

Can’t wait! Although my kanji reading is still terrible, at least I can practice the rudimentary Japanese I do know.

    • GH56734

      Military vocabulary. Good luck, seriously.

    • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

It’s coming to the west later this year, none to worry.

  • I hope it comes out over here

  • megaten666

I’m just gonna waiting for the fan translated Type-0. I seriously don’t know what Square Enix thought the time, they decided not to localise a game like Type-0.

    • Herok♞

They thought it was a game on a dead system.

      • megaten666

        Well, they thought bad lol

  • revenent hell

SE trolls their fans in the west.

They make “hints” and mention of localizing Type-O, going so far as to say they just didn’t know which “media type” would be best to release it on so they needed time for that, and yet they still haven’t after how long?

I was more hyped for that game than XIII or XV at the mentioning of it.

SE are hateful, hateful people towards their Final Fantasy Fans.
I bet ya anything this mobile game gets released in the west before Type-O (stupid name that it is)

    • shuyai

SE is a company that wants to make money and because of the piracy and game sale performances of the psp they decide not to release it in the west or judge the sales is not worth it, in any case no game company will go “muhahaha suck it western i dont want you money”. it is not “hateful” but a purely financial decision. personally i think Type Zero have a high chance of getting getting a upgrade port on Vita once the system sold enough

also releasing on mobile is much much cheaper and easier than console

      • revenent hell

        Spare me.

It is “hateful” to constantly raise peoples hopes to only not deliver. Guaranteed or not it is trolling a fan base to constantly make mention of something just to not deliver.

Hell even siliconera articles have it documented.

So whatever you think, good for you, but its negated by the
facts that SE, even if they technically made no promises, they often enough make/made mention of a western release to raise hopes in people and then later just could care less, it has been three years after all.

It has nothing to do with sales and barring XIII’s trilogy decline in revenue gain more people wanted “Type -O” so kindly spare me that little theory as well since Type -O sold fairly well. Its a Final Fantasy and they always sell well if the game isn’t shitty and people don’t get tired of its spin-offs.

And besides FFXIII’s decline in sales its hardly proof people don’t want Type-O since fan outcry for it has been loud, louder than it ever was for XIII and/or for its sequels, since its release in Japan.

        • shuyai

lol you really hate SE dont you. but here are a few thing

XIII’s sequel are reusing asset as a way to recoup development cost and easy money and also ps3 has a much much bigger installer base, so even less people buy each sequal they are guaranteed profit

Handheld market in japan is much bigger than west, selling well in japan doesnt mean it will in the west, case in point monster hunter-especially on the psp
and there is the thing call vocal miniority because chances are general gamer doesnt even know it exist.

and also by the time Type 0 release, psp is already on it last leg in the west, heck by then everyone have already given up on psp in the west (if you dont believe me check how game release for psp in the west after type zero). which is why it is better to not release it at all or wait and see if Vita performance well and release a “brand new” FF game

          • revenent hell

Jesus christ I’m aware of how the psp is dead in the west. When a new thing comes out the old becomes obsolete, duh. But it dose not take three years to think of alternate ideas. And no I do not “hate” SE, I dislike them strongly for their fucktardery towards people.

          • shuyai

(=_=) first you said SE is being an ass just to fuck with west FF fan even though alot of people will buy it at the time, then I explained why it is purely a financial decision base on (non)profitability of releasing on psp and now you say that is obvious? what? and they are not taking time( 3 year) to “think of alternate ideas.” but probably waiting for Vita selling certain number before releasing the game.

though i agree SE is being a major ass for keep teasing western release with no promise

          • revenent hell

Thanks for warping my words but I didn’t agree with you. It’s nice to know people are selective about what they read because obviously you are. I completely disagree with the reason you think is SE`s for what they do. And I don’t have to acknowledge that as pure fact

        • Herok♞

How exactly do you gauge fan out cry for something? Most of the time its the same people asking for the same game repeatedly. i just looked around for a petition and the one I found had 6000 signatures but it was a bring us both Versus XIII and Type-0 so all 6000 there might not even want Type-0. In any case with the fan translation everyone who wanted to play it can now so I don’t see why it even matters anymore that square didn’t bring it.

      • Ni ~Algidus~

        >SE is a company that wants to make money and because of the piracy and game sale performances of the psp they decide not to release it

the DS was far more pirated than the PSP(early emutators and flash cards). Miyamoto said that the pokemon games on the DS were pirated alot more than sold. Blame SCEA and SCEE that do a lame job at pushing their handhelds on the west.

        • The DS was performing better than the PSP so piracy didn’t hurt much for em…. I think.

          • Ni ~Algidus~

yes. but don’t change the fact that sony handled the piracy and the psp marketing in a lame way in the west. in 2010-11 it looked like they just didn’t cared anymore and just wanted the poor thing to die

          • Well I guess the PSP was not given that much importance until a chunk of good games were released on it’s dying years and by then it was too late lulz.

Aaanyways, I personally just feel like moving on with Type-0, there’s other good games including SE games that are more worthy to look out for.

          • Ni ~Algidus~

I imported type-0 when it came out. easily my fav FF and portable game last gen. so i’m just waiting for whatever SE is planning to do with the franchise now

          • Picked up the demo and really didn’t cut it for me, can’t say if I’d like the full game.

    • *Final Fantasy Fans are hateful, hateful people towards SE.

    • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

Agito having more hype than XV?
      Said no one ever.

  • Zer0faith

    * Reads iOS and Android part.*
Hmmm, well you know what? This is how it usually is nowadays as of late, and as loathe as we are to admit it, smartphone gaming is on the rise and turning a blind eye or randomly lashing out at it isnt going to change that. I for one will try this if it ever does see the light of day in the Wes-

    * Reads the free to play part with microtransanctions.*
    Ha, ha, ha…NO.

    • Ric Vazquez

      LOL Agreed

    • CirnoLakes

Yeah, being open to mobile is one thing.

Touchscreen only support and microtransactions are another. To me, being open to, and being supportive of, mobile, in a positive fashion, means supporting things like traditional console/handheld buttons and/or keyboard play. And non-exploitative business models.

Being positive or accepting of mobile doesn’t mean having to accept the often bad and exploitative business models that come with it. DLC and “microtransations” can be fine if they are done in a normal and respectful fashion. And free to play isn’t always bad. Some very great games are free to play. But far too often free to play with microtransations are done in a consumer exploitative fashion. And Square Enix don’t have a good history of using DLC/microtransactions in a consumer friendly fashion.

It’s hard to trust Square Enix using this business model, when they are the ones who created All The Bravest. One of the worst examples of this in the industry.

  • Ni ~Algidus~

Well Agito (before beign renamed into Type-0 and moved to psp) were originally a mobile game. It sucks that we can’t have on Type-o these NPC of the first circle that this new Agito takes place

    • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

To be fair, the first trailer said it would be for PSP when it was still called Agito XIII.

      • Ni ~Algidus~

before that trailer. in the early development days the game was stated to be mobile only (in the likes of Before Crisis)

        • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

Yeah I read Wikipedia too. However most, like myself, had neer even heard of the game before the trailer. The point waa that your wording is misleading. It was still called Agito while on PSP.

          • Ni ~Algidus~

lol. I never have read to wikipedia’s type-0 article. I followed that game since SE announced it because i liked the setting and concept of the fabula nova crystallis.
            good try

          • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

Good for you, doesn’t change my point.

  • Suzaku

I really hope they follow through with their previous statements about localizing it. I’d download the Japanese version, but it’ll probably be region locked on the Play Store.

  • Izzeltrioum

So, what was appealing about Type-0? I’ve seen a high demand from the fanbase. Can it get to P2 Innocent Sin or Trails in the Sky FC godly-tier caliber within the same handheld’s library?

Help a fellow jrpg player to add or despise (You know, SE) another game to/off his library.

    • LaserVision

It looked similar to Crisis Core, which was a very fun, well-made game (the story could’ve used some work but eh). It is a shame we won’t get to see it (yet at least)

The temper tantrum throwing on the message boards has been unbearable though. (see above)

  • Wesley Kenneth Houpt Mattingly

My hope is that it will make them lot’s of money and say “Hey, the west wants this game, let’s give them Type-0 for being such good sports.”
Clearly my fantasy could be a reality :/
