Super Sonico Shows Off Her Moves In SoniPro

By Eugene . March 29, 2014 . 3:30pm

Bouncy, bubbly college gal Super Sonico  is showing off her moves in this new preview trailer for SoniPro (Or Super Sonico In Production). The superidol and model will be putting her life into your hands in the Nintendo 3DS idol-producer and communications game as she climbs the charts and has to fend off would-be rivals such as new character Starlight Bellstar.

As her producer, you’ll be able to dictate what sorts of training she’ll undergo, as well as manage her schedule. Choosing different types of songs will slowly edge the Nitroplus mascot girl to one of three different “colors” that represent different forms of personalities.

The game will feature some 20 songs, including new original music as well. “Startup,” the song in the video, is infectiously bright and energetic. Maybe this will edge her towards the Peach coloring?

The original new scenario plot also includes new rival Starlight Bellstar, a mysterious newcomer to the idol world with her own headphone-wearing gimmick. During a live performance, she throws out the challenge to Sonico to be her rival, though how that plays out, we’ll have to wait and see.

SoniPro will arrive on the Nintendo 3DS May 29th.

        • iceisnice

Uh… No. I like boobs in moderation lol.I just think there’s a point where boobs are so large its sad and degrading. But whatever. You’re thing is your thing and enjoy whatever unrealistic sexual fantasies you’re into. o_o
I feel bad for women that see guys enjoy this stuff, but hey, maybe they’re into that, too, who knows!
Edit: I’m new to this site and these kinds of Japanese games that blatantly sell the mc as a sex doll. But meh I guess I’ll try to get used to seeing them around (and avoid them :) ).

          • Tinye

One does not simply avoid anime boobs…

          • FierceOkami

Well in someway my fantasies aren’t unrealistic, go on google and check Hitomi Tanaka, Rin Kajika or Fuuko those are defintely real xD

  • fyi1191

I rather side with Starlight there.

  • I wonder why Starlight decided to challenge Sonico all of a sudden. Either way the game looks pretty fun =)

Creepy wrist on the right of the image o.0

    • Josh Hanes

That microphone is just way to heavy for her wrist.

    • fyi1191

      Cannot unsee.

  • tturtlejosh

I’m surprised the boobs don’t move that much

  • leingod

Looks just like one of those Dream C Club or Idolmaster games. She is certainly curvier, though.

  • Eder García

    insert “plot” jokes here

    • Kumiko Akimoto

insert fast and generic response agreeing and returning the joke

  • Kumiko Akimoto

I want this so bad. Idol raising sonico would be like a dream

I actually hate things like this. The overt usage of over sexualization in Japanese media (Anime, Manga, Video Games) really needs to stop. It becomes very hard to take something seriously or appreciate its merits when it is constantly defaulting to this type of nonsense. I’m tired of being embarrassed of all the Japanese media that I consume because there is SO much of this.

A recent example is Conception II (the demo just came out). That seems like a really solid JRPG. But, even in the demo, there were numerous 4th grade-esque ‘pervy’ jokes made. And the boobs of all the girls bounce in their portraits during dialogue. I get that we all like seeing boobs and butts, and there are plenty of people that dig the animated type, but it’s really just getting out of hand.

    /rant… lol

    • MrSirFeatherFang

That’s fine and all, but this isn’t quite the place to discuss this. There are people who like this and others (like you) who dislike it. Try and not ruin the fun for those who enjoy these type of games within the game’s articles.

      • Logan Moll

It’s just a really good example of what I see becoming a ubiquitous problem. I didn’t make any remarks about it being problematic for other people to dig it; I merely gave my take on it. I’m also not planning on restating this same view over and over in response to anyone else’s posts, so I really don’t think I’m ruining or derailing the conversation. In fact, there are sure to be other users of the site that feel the same–minority or not. And, given the nature of the article, this seems a fairly apt place to discuss such a thing, doesn’t it?

        • MrSirFeatherFang

This sort of post will derail into discussions that are not about the game or anything relevant to the article. Of course there are topics that are related to the game that you can discuss in an article, but do you really think this is the right place to discuss the sexualization in Japanese media?
