Stranger of The Village of the Sword Shows Its Deadly Dungeon Traps And Monsters

By Spencer . April 1, 2014 . 2:33pm

Experience, the developer behind Demon Gaze and Students of the Round, has a brand new dungeon RPG in the works. Stranger of the Village of the Sword is a first person dungeon crawler with Team Muramasa’s usual detailed monsters like the Flame & Ice dragon-like spirits or the skeletal Murdar.

One twist in Stranger of the Village of the Sword is bosses will comeback to life even if you defeat them. The only way to eradicate a boss is to remove the Pure Blood Crystal, an ability only the stranger and few other chosen ones have.

Dungeons themselves are another threat in this DRPG. Players have to navigate through booby trapped chests, poisonous tiles, ice spikes, and lava. The Stranger of the Village of the Sword: Black Palace comes out for Xbox 360 on June 5 then Windows PC on August 22. A PlayStation Vita version, The Stranger of the Village of the Sword: White Palace, will have touch screen controls and other tweaks. The game is slated for release this fall.

So the players character are plane crashed into the realm with monsters and medieval culture? That explain the sailor fuku then. Still doesn’t explain the cars/TV though.

Monster/backgroubnd artworks is good, but I’m not entirely sold on character artworks. (Still looks OK though)

It’s the same alternate realm that connects to the insides of washing machines and pulls through the second half of the pair of socks that always goes missing.

Apparently it also has wormholes connecting to old 2nd-hand stores as well.
