Square Enix’s Million Arthur Has Been Localized Into English

By Spencer . April 4, 2014 . 2:24am

The biggest new series to come out of Square Enix in years is Million Arthur. The Arthurian Legend inspired card game was a breakout hit in Japan and sparked a series of games. Million Arthur became a hit throughout Asia when  the game was localized into Korean and Chinese.

Square Enix’s game has been localized into English too, but Magnificent Million Arthur is still only for Asia. An English version has been released for Android and iOS in Southeast Asia. No word if Square Enix will bring the game outside, but it seems like Square Enix has plans to expand Million Arthur one region at a time.

Been playing the game for a while and its pretty addicting. It cured my DM: T addiction lol. And Million Arthur plot >>>>>>> DM: T one.

I picked Blade Protector Arthur. But I’m curious abt the other 2 Arthur but it doesn’t seem like you can make another account for it though ._.

Fun fact: The faerie in the pic is voiced by Yuka Iguchi who also voices Index frm TAMNI. The 3 faeries does resemble Index no?

    • gretan

are you sure? i think DM: T ‘plots’ wins by a landslide. =p

    • Blade Protector Arthur is Miyano Mamoru so no contest there ;p

      • DyLaN

But Trap Arthur is KugiRie XD Tech Arthur is Satou Rina (Biri Biri/Mikoto) which is another formidable competitor :P

    • Jonathan Caminhas

Well fun fact, the story is made by Kamachi Kazuma that is the guy who created the original light novel story of To Aru Majutsu no Index. And the illustrations of the Arthurs and the three faeries, the witches and others are made by Haimura Kiyotaka who is the guy who illustrates for the Toaru franchise. So yes they do resemble.

  • Ace Trainer Chris

And yet nothing about Dragon Quest.

    • Slickyslacker

Soon, little Padawan. Have faith in Nate Bihldorff and Bill Trinen. Remember how enormous the game’s script is: let alone the game itself.

      • Ace Trainer Chris

Game? No no. We’re missing DQ Monsters, DQ Monsters 2, DQVII and DQX. Heck, the wait wouldn’t be so bad if they at least gave us Virtual Console ports of the NES/GBC games.

  • KiTA

And still nothing about Dragon Quest. We get IAP cash ins like FFATB and MA, but… nothing from their flagship series.

  • Kai2591

    Yes finally~

oh wait my iTunes store is set to US….DAMN.

btw to those playing the English version: are the voices in Japanese or English dub?

    • DyLaN

      • Kai2591

more and more localized Japanese games are keeping the Japanese voices nowadays I’m so happy~

except an unfortunate few…(I’m looking at you Atlus, for Conception II)

        • Jonathan Caminhas

Yes I’m really pissed off at Atlus for the voices in Conception II, but the game looks so awesome I’ll end up buying anyway.

  • Use my invitation code for a rare card….

  • Nyxeth

If it is available on Android in English and on the Play Store, you can get to it from anywhere by downloading the .apk file via a proxy. Once you have it on your device the play store doesn’t block you from updating it and you can run it as normal.

  • MrTyrant

I played this game and I don’t understand it. I like the plot thats one good thing and I also like the design and music but why the cards fight automatically?

  • Adam Zaorski

They localize THIS and yet they don’t want to bring FF Type-0 to EU/US?

It makes me want to rage.

    • DyLaN

I think the one handling the TL isn’t SE themself IIRC.

And to be fair, PSP is dead beyond dead out of Japan.

      • megaten666

They should re-release it as a PSP Remaster for PS3/4/VITA.

        • DyLaN

I have a feeling it will/might happen a few years down the line. Give it another few more years I say.

          • Nanaki

            Exactly this. Expect the unexpected.

        • katamari damacy

Probably in combination with the Gaikai streaming service once there is adequate market penetration of it

    • lunier

I know you guys hate mobile games for some reason, but brining Arthur over type0 is a no brainer

      • Fen Y

It might shock you, but some people actually prefer games with actual gameplay instead of mere microtransaction slot machines.

And yes – that is all million arthur is. Just another gacha slot machine without any need for thinking of any kind, to appease the gambling addicts.

There ARE good mobile games, sure – kingdom rush for example is an actual game. This just aint one.

      • Guest

Arthur has no gameplay. It plays itself. I cant fathom how anyone can like such games.

I can see how the card collecting aspect would be enticing and all the tits art but actually not using any brain cells and just pushing 1 button over and over must be boring.

    • $51888021

I wouldn’t wish for that at this point. After all, I wouldn’t want to waste all the hard work and effort put into Skybladecloud’s fan-translation because some SqEnix C&D

      • Manny Being Manny

I’d always take an official release over a fan translation, since for one its legal, and I can play an official release with the larger screen and modified controls of Vita.

    • RedFayt

Because they just want your money, not your opinion. :

    • Anko Is Furious (King T.G.P)

Not going to complain about Type-0 because they might do what they did
for FFVersus13 and then pop outta nowhere with it looking and possibly
being better except for Vita.. Or PS3 & PS4 xD.

That aside I don’t play phone games but I wish them success on it being localized here lol.

    • Ric Vazquez

I know that feel bro, I’ve been raging about this since 2011, and I think I’ll keep raging until it gets localized.

    • Alex Webber

Wow this is exactly what I was thinking when I read this and I was about to type it in if it wasn’t for your comment so don’t worry man loads of us feel the same way.

  • Aetheus

I was actually pretty hyped about this before it was released. And then it was released … and I remembered why I don’t play mobile “card games”. Because all of them are essentially glorified Facebook games. You perform some actions, and then you wait another few hours before you do something again. Or, you know, spend some $$$ so you can take another step or three. The “combat” is non-existent: pick some cards for your deck, toss it at the enemy and then hope your deck is stronger than your enemy’s. If it’s not, go grind or pay some money for better cards. Anddd … that’s about it.

I’ll admit it’s impressive that they went and got an “all-star” cast of writers and artists for a mobile game, but the game itself is just another Japanese mobile card game. If you’re a fan of those games, then this one will entertain you. And if you’re not, it isn’t likely to change your mind.

  • taekk

Guys, I played this for months 10-15 minutes every few hours sometimes getting up in the middle of the night. This is NOT a game, it’s just pure evil. You don’t want it localized.

    • M’iau M’iaut

Going with the hard sell — always effective!

  • Eugene Chen

it’s not hard to just change your Apple ID region/country to Singapore and just download it

  • Oh joy! This looks fun!
    April Fool’s! …er…wait…I’m a bit late, aren’t I?

  • Lzyslckr

I don’t think I’ll ever be able to think of Britain and not think Britannia.

  • ワン スャレ

Guys guys add this code for a special card:
Oh sorry, that’s for Valkyrie Crusade.
But seriously though, there isn’t much to do in Million Arthur. Yes it got good story (the technosmith is baws) but that’s pretty much it. And pretty cards.
Though until around chapter 5-6 your progress will get to a crawl and you wake up at nights so you don’t waste the energy points to make some progress.

  • Callonia

I cannot access it on bluestacks so I downloaded the apk file but the text is in japanese for bluestacks?

There’s no english for million arthur on bluestacks yet? or did I overlook it?

  • Just Tim

Will this give reference to Guinevere’s NTR at/on King Arthur?

  • Andrew Vrba

    Because tittyboobs.
