Experience’s next dungeon RPG begins with the Stranger Guild, the place for folk that come from other worlds. Here’s a look at other locations too like the Royal Knight Palace and the slums which are rumored to be tied to organized crime.

The Ship Graveyard looks like it could be a setting for a dungeon.

The Stranger of the Village of the Sword comes out in Japan for Xbox 360 on June 5. A PC version and Vita release are also in the works. No word has been announced for a Western release, but NIS America has been working with Kadokawa Games and Experience with Demon Gaze.

Fingers crossed for a EU/US release this year. Make it happen.

    • I say the same as well, I hope this game comes to Steam.

      • pekikuubik

Indeed, somebody seriously needs to put it on Steam. It’s the perfect opportunity to ride on the coattails of Legend of Grimrock and M&MX.

  • Masa

that art style, i love it so much!

  • Kolibri

I SO want that in Europe.

  • Alexandra Cordes

    The character designs are lovely.

  • The looks great :3

  • Captain Beefheart

Is this the officially translated name? Wikipedia has it as Stranger of Sword City, which sounds a bit corny but flows much better.

  • BeatTheGG

Awesome! I remember seeing this a couple months back on Creative Uncut. Didn’t know the up and up but the artwork looked awesome. Now that we’re getting some details, I’ll be keeping tabs for sure!

  • le0nel

    The art… THE ART!

  • Skeptika Crediblus

Ugh. What is UP with the 1st person dungeon crawlers? This isn’t 1985.

    Is it?

    • Mnstrzero00

I like it. I get to use my imagination. That makes it art.

      • Skeptika Crediblus

If I wanted to use my imagination, I’d play D&D.

        Oh wait…

        • darke

That’s pretty much where first person dungeon-crawlers started and where they’ll go to die. Same with roguelikes. :)

  • Prinny Dood

Ps vita. Home of the rpgs dood! So glad I have one dood!

  • Hexodious

Glad to see the FPRPGs returning slowly.

  • I want this game to be released in all languages worldwide. Including Animal Speak. No need for Moogle Speak, I am well-traveled, kupo.
