Marvelous AQL is preparing a limited edition for IA/VT Colorful, a PlayStation Vita rhythm game that changes colors depending on how you play.

The limited edition package includes a pouch, Vita skin sticker, a decorative sticker, cleaning cloth, strap, charm strap, card case, and the PlayStation Vita game packed in a collector’s box.

IA/VT Colorful comes out on July 31 for PlayStation Vita in Japan.

Hope that Marvelous is watching the sales of Project Diva (and the upcoming #2) in the west.

    • Milewide

Are you saying that Project Diva is selling well enough in the west to make localizing IA/VT worthwhile?

      • NegativeZero

The first one did well enough for Sega to bother releasing the Vita version and commit to the sequel, so presumably yes.

        • Milewide

I agree with your reasoning there. But do you think this success could translate to IA/VT? I believe there is a vast ocean between IA and Miku in terms of popularity.

          • Rose Spinoza

Which is a shame since I vastly prefer IA’s voice bank ;_; .
Though her voice bank seems to be gaining a lot of popularity witht he better song makers in Japan at least.

          • Milewide

I’m with you on that one. Have you heard Lia or IA sing ‘meteor’?

          • NegativeZero

You’re right, but by the same token games like this are pretty cheap to localize – you’re pretty much just doing a menu translation. Plus if they make it a digital release there’s a lot less overhead.

I’m not saying it’s guaranteed or anything, but I feel like it’s well within the realms of possibility that we might see it in English.

          • Milewide

I hope it does get localized. Well, more than that, I hope that the game itself turns out good. We’ll see come this summer.

Yes.Project Diva is selling well in west.Since its launch in PSN Europe, the game was two weeks the first one.And then it keeps its place in top 5.This week is the third one.

      • Kumiko Akimoto

        Are you saying it didn’t?

        • Milewide

I can’t really say anything. I don’t have any sources. The best I can get is vgchartz but that seems rather incomplete in this case.

          • Thad McMichael

vgchartz is incomplete in EVERY case.

It’s pure guesstimates and should never be trusted.

    • Xerain

Even if they do, it won’t have that amazing LE box. I might buy it just for the box.

  • I was almost sold on the cleaning cloth (I really need one for my glasses…), but I already pre-ordered the vanilla copy.
I’m also getting increasingly giddy with each new part of the game I see.

  • TrueDefault

The problem with limited edition is that I’m not sure I will super enjoy it or not… standard edition it is.

  • Firion Hope

    thats awesome, do want

  • Kornelious

Hmmm, Might just have to import this for the extra goodies alone :)

  • So glad I pre-ordered the limited edtion of this =^_^=

    • Same! It looks great.

      • Seriously! It just looks so beautiful and stands out.

    • Testsubject909

      Got 2 pre-ordered myself.

  • Aristides

I really want to see this game localized 0-0

  • artemisthemp

I could consider importing this awesome LE :)

  • Looks good in my opinion. Hoping this game will be localized, especially from XSEED since this is a game from Marvelous.

  • oh goodness

  • Harvey Tejada Loto

    i want kagerou project songs

  • Shiggity1

I have it preordered as well from Nippon-Yassan.com. There aren’t any left of the Crystal Box. lol. I can’t wait (as I’m a huge fan of the Project Diva and I’d like to try out the Project Mirai series but since Nintendo doesn’t seem to like money with their region locked 3DS ecosystem, IA/VT Colorful seems to have the same formula as Project Mirai, so there’s that)!
