Mystic Fighter Classes Include A Swordsman, Vampire And… A Mech

By Eugene . April 14, 2014 . 3:01pm

If you were piqued by the star power of HyunA promoting Korean online game Mystic Fighter, here’s what the game’s classes look and feel like. The above trailer shows off the four classes in the game, such as the purple-haired and sparkly deadly Vampire, Hyuna-like swordswoman, a spunky magician girl… or the Armored Frontier.

(Yes, we have a mech in the game.)

Some have likened this to essentially Dungeon & Fighters, but version 2.0. They probably aren’t far off the mark. You’ll use skills set into hotbars to combo and bash down foes as they show up in a stage, and pick up loot that they drop as rewards. The mage girl isn’t in the game quite yet, but the other three are available to try out.

Mystic Fighter is out in open beta in Korea, and is headed to China as well, via Tencent Games. No news on a Western release just yet.

    • Chardo

I dont remember kyo being a kusarigama weilding purple haired vampire that used dark bat powers and wolf slashes.

or is this just, based on his jacket and shirt perhaps? you can even change his custome. and he DOES change custome mid-trailer

Loved playing DFO, would be glad if someone else picked it up. I would like to try this too.

  • Yan Zhao

Just dont let Nexon get their grubby hands on this if it does come to the West, which I doubt.

I doubt me and many others would play it if they did, after the way they handled and ruined DFO.

  • KuroNathan

Does anyone else feel like some of the attacks only have half of the animation frames needed to look smooth? Or am I just tricking myself into thinking that?

  • Quan Chi

Ripoff game. They frankensprited Axl Low and Potempkin from GGXX, Kyo from KoF, and the Sword chick from Big Bang Beat lol.

    • Godmars

I’d still grab it if it were a standalone title.

    • Bunzi

They even jacked KOF sound effects during Not!Kyo’s moves.

    • WyattEpp

Woah, someone remembers BBB? Never thought I’d see the day.

  • Seizui

Ahhh… S. Korea. You guys have the habit of making interesting games that are better off just offline games rather than MMOs.

  • Namuro

Ha ha, I thought that was Blodia for sure!

  • fairysun

The gameplay just reminded me of one of the awesome game that I played last year.

    • Godmars

Yes. there needs to be more games like this. Not just spat out quasi MMOs.
