By Spencer . April 17, 2014 . 11:30pm

BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for PlayStation Vita packs the story content from the console version plus a new scenario that takes place at the beach. Ragna, Kagura, Celica, and Noel are in the bonus storyline. The Vita version also has digests that summarize the events from Calamity Trigger and Continuum Shift. Abyss Mode has some changes on Vita too.

Arc System Works plans to release BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for PlayStation Vita in Japan on April 24. Aksys has the Vita version for North America scheduled for June 24.

Hope buying this means Jubei DLC and a sooner release for what should be the final game. Don’t wanna another 4 “remakes” like CS

    • Tonton Ramos

Or what about Jubei with Nine, Saya, and Mai etc in the Final Game completely!

      • Jaeger Knighty

Yes, Mai please. I NEED Mai to be playable.

        • God

Why do so many people like her? Isn’t she only the genderbender main character of a fanservice Blazblue manga wich serves absolutely no purpose but being fanservice?

          • Astrotrain

She possess the Burning Red (Crimson Grimorie) as oppose to the BlazBlue (Azure Grimoire).

          • God

That… makes no sense, the Azure Grimoire is basically, a cauldron, what the hell is the Bruning Red?

          • heavymetalmixer

The most powerful grimore created by Nine, at the moment we only know its name, not what it is.

          • God

Really? The wikia only states “The Burning Red is the “Crimson Grimoire” that was researched by Nine. It is the ultimate Grimoire that no one has ever obtained.” however, it maybe wrong, since it also says nothing about the Crimson Grimoire in Mai’s page. I may as well read the manga just to be sure… However, it would be stupid to put such an incredibly powerful thing into the story so late, since it isn’t even something the game’s creator came up with…

          • Jaeger Knighty

Besides what Astrotrain mentioned, she’s just a nice character. Good fighter, even in the manga. And she was mentioned in the CP story by Noel, so its possible.

          • God

It is possible, i just wondered why people wanted her in.

    • God

Sorry buddy, that’s only comes with the Chronophantasma II Ultra Extended Arcade Edition.

    • Astrotrain

It would be the end of the story, not the end of BlazBlue games.

  • Pdugna

I like that they like their intro song but, it repeated like 3 times during that whole trailer.

  • Alestaos

I have one of these games for vita already, just wondering is the story the same on all 3 games or they are different but only slightly?

    • IlVongola

Chrono Phantasma is the sequel to Continuum shift and Continuum shift is the sequel to Calamity Trigger.

    • Herok♞

You most likely have Extend for Vita which is the second game in the Blazblue story, each new iteration has an entirely different story.
The story in order was Calamity Trigger, then Continuum Shift and lastly Chrono Phantasma. This is the last game Chrono Phatasma which has its own new story.

      • Alestaos

Im sure Extend has two stories in it? Is that correct or am i missing game 1 and thats why some things dont make sense? Either way ty for reply :)

        • Herok♞

Extend has the short version of CT in it which covers the most basic plot points, so if you played it to the True End you should be able to follow the story in CP.

“Arc System Works plans to release BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma for PlayStation Vita on April 24. Aksys has the Vita version scheduled for June 24″

Does that mean April 24 Japan, June 24 US?

    • NeoStrayCat

      Yes, exactly!

      • leingod

Ouch, that’s a long ways. But at least it’s coming!

  • Kornelious

I’m definintly getting the Vita version. But it’s because of that that I’m holding off on the DLC until I know it’s cross-compatible…..

  • artemisthemp

Hopefully EU will see a Vita version close to US release

  • Chris Smith

Another reason to get a Ps Vita
