Classical Piano Enthusiasts Get Their Rhythm Game At Last

Recommended Videos

Rhythm games exist for all sorts of instruments, but rarely do they let us play with a piano and in classical style. Happy Pianist is a smartphone title published by Netmarble that fills that niche.

The game does need a Kakao account to play. Kakao’s a chat app like WhatsApp or Line, with its own range of game titles attached to it.

Happy Pianist plays like other rhythm games, with notes that you’ll need to press or hold on to as they stream down from the top of the page and reach the bar. The tunes that come out, however, are piano keys, with more classically inclined tunes. While it’s classical music, don’t expect it to therefore go easy on the fingers while banging on the virtual keyboard.

You’ll need Kakao in order to log in and play Happy Pianist on iOS and Android.
