Persona Magazine To Be Published Again In June

By Sato . May 2, 2014 . 9:06am

During Atlus’ “Dark Hour TV ~Persona Hour” live stream, they shared a glimpse of Persona 4 Golden: The Animation featuring Marie. They also revealed that the next issue of Persona Magazine will be published on June 12th, 2014.

The Persona Magazine was a monthly magazine published from 2011 to 2012, featuring all things Persona. Atlus revived the magazine for the special occasion of the Persona 5 reveal, and considering that there’s a few months to go before the next issue is published, hopefully it will contain some information on that game.

Persona 5 is slated for release in the fourth quarter of 2014 for PlayStation 3 in Japan. The game will be released in North America in 2015.

That was a lot of gay porn for nothing.

    • God

      • Kumiko Akimoto

        They said what they meant.
It was a very weird stream.

        • God

          Glad i didn’t watch it.

          • Kumiko Akimoto

It was funny though. They were really silly, plus free recap of persona 3’s first movie.

      • Kango234

Not even God can comprehend what we watched.

    • shafiq95

the crotch grabbin was a WTF moment

  • Forxsand

How the hell this one is on 3ds section? Wtf?

    • Aunna Terrell

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth = 3DS game

EDIT: lol the magazine will have stuffies on it too.

      • Cazar

        >uses P5 image
        >mentions P5 throughout the article
        >tags PQ

        • Forxsand

          Exactly what i’m pointing at.
It feels like they want to “make” Persona a main nintendo title, like they did with MH. Na-ah, not a chance.

        • Aunna Terrell

          >IS a Persona magazine
          >Will cover all projects
          >P4Q has been hot on presses
          >So it’s IMPLIED

Not sure why they didn’t add P4U2 or P4D… But still, they’ll all be in it.

          • Cazar

Yeah but the focus of the article was on P5. I’m not gonna cry over it but he kind of has a point, it would make a lot more sense to put this article under PS3.

The same goes for if he had used a PQ image instead and only talked about PQ; it wouldn’t make sense to label it under PS3 instead of 3DS. It’s just consistency nitpicking.

          • Aunna Terrell

It is under the PS3 tag too.

          • Cazar

At the top of the page, it’s labeled as “NINTENDO 3DS”, that’s what he was talking about.

          • Aunna Terrell

It’s labeled first (alphabetical order); “Read more stories about Nintendo 3DS & Persona 5 & Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth & PlayStation 3 on Siliconera.”
They just need to make a general media tag for it to fall under Articles, like the Anime tag.

          • Cazar

The labels are separate from the tags and can have more than one category such as “PS3 / NINTENDO 3DS.” The labels are actually sorting tags and the tags at the bottom are search tags. As a result this article is not in the PS3 section. Actually I guess they’re all sorting tags but for some reason it’s still not in the PS3 section, I guess he just added it later and it hasn’t updated? Nevertheless the label could still have included both tags.

I feel like I’m just going on needlessly about something unimportant now.

          • Aunna Terrell

Then that would imply that P5 is on “PS3 / NINTENDO 3DS,” bc normally double/triple labeled TABS means the same game on those platform. The easiest solution is just adding a “magazine” or “printed publication” tag for the [ARTICLE] TAB to appear. Problem solved!

          • Cazar

True. But using the 3DS label was still an odd choice. >>; This comment chain got way too long for something like this lol.

  • Hopefully we get some info or pics of P5 cast on the 12th.

  • Abysswalker90

So the game is literally a few months away, and they still gave us NOTHING.

    • FivePointedTheStar

I think… that I prefer it this way. When the game comes out in Japan, people will invariably spoil the hell out of it, anyway.

      • Abysswalker90

Just stay away from it until release then?
We know nothing about this game besides it’s general theme and color scheme. If you consider anything beyond that a spoiler, you can just ignore any news about it.
Most of us though are frustrated by the lack of information / trailers / concept art.

        • 하세요

Easier said than done. If he/she has other friends that are into Persona, news will travel fast whether intentional or not. Happened to me and Lightning Returns. I would avoid all topics here about it but Facebook said otherwise. I’m not going to avoid the internet for months to avoid one game’s news, as I doubt anyone would.

          • Abysswalker90

I’ve been on the internet for years now, and I know next to nothing about Lightning Returns, despite browsing the webs every so often.
Not that I’m a fan or anything, but I’ve managed it, I don’t see how anyone else couldn’t.

          • 하세요

My friends are massive FF fans like I am, so even in person stuff would spill out. Just because you have an easier time doesn’t mean others will.

  • Hexodious

Atlus probably saved the footage of Persona 5 for E3 2014: Electronic Entertainment Expo. Makes sense to me, but this whole livestream wasn’t even needed just for that anime and with that said, it isn’t really a “new” or “big project” just a sequel.

    • Kumiko Akimoto

Unless it’s with sony I doubt it.

    • Thatguy

      I really doubt it.

Info would appear at TGS, it seems.

    • Aunna Terrell

Like the other two, I don’t really see one… But if they did release a trailer before E3, then Atlus USA could surprise us with a dubbed version of the trailer, since we know we’re getting the game.

  • Kumiko Akimoto

    Those keychains were adorable though

  • SaiyanJedi_Trunks

Wonder if I could pick this up at Kinokuniya? If not, I’ll grab it online.

  • dknighti

I’m really hoping they do a male and female protagonist for P5 with two different stories that come together towards the end.

I know its a bit much to ask but i think it would be pretty cool to see two different sides of a sure to be amazing story, but I doubt it.
