Hunter x Hunter: Battle Allstars Has An Impressive Lineup Of Characters

By Sato . May 4, 2014 . 12:30pm

Those of you keeping up with the Hunter x Hunter anime know how exciting things have been for Gon, Killua and the rest of the Hunters in the Chimera Ant arc. Bandai Namco recently released a new mobile game, featuring a bunch of our favorite Hunters.

Hunter x Hunter: Battle Allstars is an easy-to-play RPG with strategic elements. When you start a fight, you simply swipe lines from one character to a target to have them lock-on, and from there, it does most of the rest for you. However, you’ll still have to make your own moves, such as changing party members to fight targets as a way to match weakness attributes, or to help a member that’s in a pinch.

Once you fill up the meter, you’ll be able to pull off signature moves. Certain characters such as those from the Phantom Troupe, can link their abilities to do more damage or effects.

In addition to the popular characters in Gon, Killua, Kurapica, and Leorio, Hunter x Hunter: Battle Allstars boasts a huge lineup from fan favorites like Hisoka to the more obscure characters from the earlier parts of the story to the recent Chimera Ant arc.

While you can make your own dream team of favorite characters, they’ll have certain types like Attacker, Sniper, Wizard, Tanker, Healer, and Lord, all with their own unique set of skills and abilities.

Additionally, those who register early for the game can get access to Bisky as part of a limited time campaign.

Hunter x Hunter: Battle Allstars is currently available for Android and iOS devices.

Seems like Namco has some fascination with the words “Battle” and “All-Star”

    • Dystopiq

      I noticed this too.

  • Tales_of_Master

HxH really needs to get a proper video game adaptation. Hopefully made by CC2.

    • British_Otaku

They design nice looking games quite consistently, but while they aren’t terrible guys, I would want someone who can compare the adventuring spirit from head to toe even if it doesn’t look that pretty…

I would say Ganbarion (Jump Superstars, Ultimate Stars, One Piece Unlimited Adventure, Unlimited Cruise, Unlimited World RED), but Bandai Namco’s business model is harming the products that the developers make it seems.

    • Kurizu208

there was a decent psp game that came out when the reboot anime did

  • Highasthesky

Not even the trailer could get me hyped for this.

    • God

      Why? Are you dead inside?

      • GH56734

        Shallow mobile game.
        Lost potential.

        • Highasthesky

          ^ This.

medamnit! I didn’t realise it was a mobile game!

  • Awrans

    Not for me

  • Kyle15

How do I go about downloading this? I can’t find it on the Google store. Do I have to get it directly from Bamco?

    • NimbusStev

I’m pretty sure the Google store is region locked, so even if you find the Japanese page for the game, it won’t let you download it on your Western device.

  • AuraGuyChris

Everything was good…till the “m” word reared its head again.

Hell, I don’t watch the anime and I think the characters look good!

    • GH56734

And the description makes it gameplay seem like All the Bravest.
No thanks. Seeing it with something associated with HxH is offensive and insulting.

  • Judgephoenix

Yup was hyped till the word Mobile :(

  • Renaldi Saputra

    well, uhhh… mobile
we know where this is going

  • NimbusStev

“From there, it does most of the rest for you.”

Whyyyyy!? This sums up everything wrong with mobile games. Why bother “playing” a game that pretty much just plays itself?

    • GH56734

Or that Megaman Xover which is an automatic runner with a “boss battle” in the end you can skip.
I guess they are too impatient and want the people to get to the parts where they pay the microtransactions asap.

  • Ni ~Algidus~

we need a HxH game where macho Biscuit is the protagonist

sighh i thought this was a console game! Soon as i keep reading and it said mobile i lost it !
