Hover: Revolt of Gamers Stretch Goal Adds A Swinging Mechanic Inspired By Spider-Man

Hover: Revolt of Gamers has received two new stretch goals. At the $125,000 mark, the development team will add a Swing Hook and Hoverboard item to the game.

The Swing Hook will allow you to swing from building to building. Developer Midgar Studio say they were very much inspired by Spider-Man while developing Hover, in terms of the sensations they want the player to feel, and in light of requests for a swinging feature, have decided to include one.

The second new stretch goal is character customization. If Hover’s Kickstarter contributions reach $150,000, the team will add a customizable male and female character to the game.

  • Wouldn’t be surprised if they hit that.

Those would be some neat additions. For now I’m just hoping it hits that Wii U stretch goal(which I’m convinced it will).

  • It’s still missing that Crazy Taxi Mode Stretch goal. Also, I will get those $10k to get the Leader Edition! Pretty soon, I will make myself the Merchant of Vidya in this game~

Huh. Wasn’t prepared for that- though I do wonder how well it will gel with the regular running and jumping mechanics. Sort of feels like this mechanic could overtake the running, unless of course it’s limited somehow. Or maybe the running and jumping is how you get points, while “web-slinging” might not give out points but does let you go around faster.
