Persona 3’s Junpei Iori recently stepped up to the plate in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax’s previous trailer, and now, it’s Labrys’ turn to shine, as she demonstrates her axe-wielding prowess in the upcoming fighter.
The trailer starts out with Labrys quoting that if she doesn’t win her way through the P-1 Grand Prix, the world will be destroyed, and that she’ll do everything she can to protect the world, the place she met all of her friends.
After showing Labrys give a beating to the likes of Aigis, Yukari, Elizabeth, the trailer gives us a glimpse of the Shadow-type Labrys. Okay, that might sound a bit confusing to some of you, considering that there’s already a “Shadow Labrys,” as a separate character.
To break it down—similar to how the other characters have “Shadow-type” versions of themselves, Labrys will also have her own Shadow-type version, who uses the Ariadne Persona.
The “Shadow Labrys” character who uses the Asterius Persona, will be her own character like she was in the first game, but won’t have a Shadow-type version… since she’s kind of one herself. So, you’ll have Labrys, Labrys (Shadow-type,) and Shadow Labrys in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax!
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be released this Fall for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in North America.
