image Wii Sports Club, a compilation of Wii Sports HD remakes, was released last year as a digital release for Wii U. Japanese retail blog Sinobi tweeted that a packaged version of Wii Sports Club is scheduled for July 17.

In addition to golf, bowling, and tennis which are available on the eShop now, Wii Sports Club will include baseball and boxing too. When Wii Sports Club was announced Nintendo said they would release baseball and boxing later on. It looks like both games will be ready in July.

    Good…for Japan.

I can’t help but feel that Wii Sports is still one of those games that should come packaged with the system by default. Compared to most other retail games there just seems to be so little value. I’m sure even less-savvy consumers realize this — why pay for a boxed version of Wii Sports when a flashy new copy of Mario Kart or NSMB or what-have-you is sitting right next to it on the shelf?

In what way? Wii Sports remained one of my most played games on the Wii even at the very end. If I would have spent $50 on that game it would have been sell wroth it.

The reason why the Wii did so well was because they packaged Wii Sports with the system. It got many casual players into gaming, I feel Nintendo dropped the ball with the Wii U. Nintendo land does not have the same casual appeal as a Wii Sports.

  • I hope they continue to add new sports

The perfect game to let people know that the Wii and Wii U are definitely not the same.
