Sho Minazuki Shows Off His Sword Combos In Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

By Spencer . May 22, 2014 . 2:53am

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax has two characters named Sho Minazuki, we’ll call him Miazuki since his name is written in kanji. Minazuki doesn’t have a Persona similar to Laybrs and likes to taunt the other characters. While that sounds like a disadvantage, he can fight other Persona users just fine using dual sword combos.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax comes out on August 28 in Japan and slated for a fall release in North America.

I’m digging his personality. (based on how I heard him talking)

    • Thatguy

      Persona’s version of Trollzama.

We need more characters like Sho and Hazama.

      • DyLaN

Considering that Hazama is the person I wanted to punch the most in BB anime…… I’m not sure abt this :V

        • Aunna Terrell

Puns are love tho! *defends Sho*

        • Thatguy

Yeah, i want to do it too…
And Hazama is the only fictional character i want to punch, i find it fascinating

        • Ecchitori-san

Puns are actually funny if you think about it.

          • DyLaN

I don’t mind the puns, but if he the type tht troll and f***s with everyone…..

          • Ritsuioko23

I love characters like that so much… how can you not see the like for them?

          • DyLaN

Well, him being creepy and dickish + troll kinda makes my anger meter rise up. Especially wht he did to Noel/Makoto/”brocon” chick.

        • God

How could you not like Hazama? He is based on me, it’s like saying you don’t love god… DO YOU NOT LOVE GOD?! *prepares holy judgement*

        • Androu1

Hazama is the only good character in BlazBlue.

  • Crevox

    “we’ll call him Miazuki”

*immediately refers to him as Minazuki*

Also, Labrys has a persona. He’s unlike any other character.

    • greeeed

if you read past post about persona you will know that there is 2 Sho,
one with Kanji(human) and one without it(Shadow?)

      • Crevox

One with a persona, and one without. It’s the same person, two personalities, and one character is before he gets his persona while the other is after he gets it.

        • dj_jm09

No they are not the same person at all. One is referenced to have a plume of dusk like Labrys and Aigis and the other one doesnt have one. Also the characters that meet up with the two say that they dont even remotely act similar. (Yes I know that the shadow versions of the cast act different but the way that Sho Minazuki and SHO MINAZUKI (persona) act are implied to be two separate people)

    • Ultraviolet

      A typo, I guess.

    • Steven Higgins

Labrys didn’t have a persona throughout the original P4 Arena. I think that’s what they’re referring to.

      • Crevox

“doesn’t have a persona similar to Labrys”

It’s just weird. Yeah, she DIDN’T have one, but now she does. And for any gameplay involving her, she has one, as a character. This is no different than Sho here, who DOESN’T have one, but he WILL have one. The difference is that he actually fights without it, and a different playable character (the other sho, sho with persona) has the persona.

So if they’re referencing Labrys as a playable fighter, then it’s incorrect. Labrys has one, Sho does not. That won’t change for him either, because this selectable Sho does not have one. If they’re referencing her situation at the start of the game story-wise, it makes sense, but it’s still worded awkwardly. It’s hard to tell if they’re trying to tread on story/lore territory or just trying to reference the game itself as a fighter. I’d almost consider it a spoiler that she doesn’t have one at the start of the story, because it’s a journey to figure out who she is and all that.

    • AuraGuyChris

      You mean Laybrs.

  • Hexodious

Y’all know what time it is, right?

    • urbanscholar

      Ahaha love the pun

    • Oh, don’t be a SHO-off, Sho.

    • God

I’m gonna main the shit out of sho. (yes, no sho pun, i ain’t no sho-off)

    • Christopher Pedersen

The best part is that he actually says that in the trailer.

  • Let the puns roll. BEAR in mind that’s how things will go once the SHO begins.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    Must… cosplay him…….

  • AuraGuyChris

    “…we’ll call him Miazuki… Minazuki doesn’t…”

    “…have a Persona similar to Laybrs…”

    Epic Fail.

  • DyLaN
  • Guest

    True Identity.

  • Kevin Lima Ferreira

Sho must be Daidara from the past but he travel through time!

    • God

Or maybe, Daidara is sho from the future who traveled to the past! Didn’t think of that, did you?

      • Kevin Lima Ferreira

        That’s a nice plot twist!

  • Satoshi Ookami

Atlus couldn’t bear to miss the puns possibility.

  • InsertOffensiveUsernameHere

So, is it the guy to call if one wants to turn that fighting tournament into a corpse party?
