imageSony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia has a trio of Ratchet & Clank games on one Blu-ray disc for Japan.

The Ratchet & Clank: Galaxy Strongest Tristar Pack includes Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty, Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, and Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus.

The three game package is slated for release on June 12 for 4,800 yen and as of now this looks like a Japan exclusive bundle.

Not a bad price considering their stand alone prices, even if only 2/3 of the package is worth getting.

IMO, it would make more sense to replace Full Frontal Assault with A Crack in Time. But it doesn’t matter, Japan hates this series anyway.

I grabbed a Japanese copy of one game in the series (a game in the English version I’d actually done the obsessive-completion thing for, so I guess I found it ‘good’) to listen to the Japanese dub out of curiosity. At which point I’m pretty sure I found why the Japanese don’t like it. :(

(And this is coming from a proponent of “if you must put your English dub in your imports, at least give me the option to pick the Japanese original audio when 90+% of the time the dub is terrible”. :? It appears the Japanese dubs of English games are pretty similar in this respect.)

  • Makes sense. All 3 are small titles compared to the rest of the series. Although, I do think it would make more sense to make it the Future Trilogy as a bundle (Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty & A Crack in Time), the 3 games probably won’t fit on one PS3 disc.
