Square Enix recently held their 14th edition of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn’s “Letter from the Producer” Q&A series, where the development staff answered various questions about the game’s future. Here’s a summary of some of the highlights from Famitsu’s report of the event.
Old man Ramuh has been revealed as the next Primal for patch 2.3, and will have both hard and extreme mode fights right off the bat. As far as drops go, they’ll mainly be accessories, but he’ll also drop lvl 100 weapons and also a rare mount.
Square Enix also teased that something good will come out of collecting all the Primal mounts later on.

Naoki Yoshida also shared a peek at the grooms and brides’ look for those of you looking forward to getting hitched in Eorzea. As previously reported, there will be two rings for the couple, and throwing them away will result in a “divorce”.
The addition of the two-man mount feature will also be nice to have once the marriage system goes live! The above is a first-look at the final product of the two-man mount, and some concept designs.
Fans asked for more glasses and Square Enix delivered. The above is a look at some glasses that will probably be a hit with players and the Vanity system once they’re released for version 2.3.
Here’s a look at some more poses that will be added with patch version 2.28. This means no more being restricted to the stiff and default sitting pose!
Lead designer Takeo Suzuki jokingly said that it makes him want to shout “Yoshidaaaa!” whenever the producer shows things that are still being worked on. Upon mentioning this, Yoshi-P showed the above image, teasing that we might be able to dye Artifact Armors in the near future. He also shared a look at some more design work.
While on the subject of looks and appearances, Square Enix announced that they will begin selling Fantasia, items used to remake your character from voice to appearance, for 1,000 yen ($10) a piece. They will come in packs of one, three, and five.
The date for patch version 2.3 has yet to be announced. Square Enix also announced that patch 2.28 will go live on June 4 or June 5.
