Attack On Titan Theme Song In Taiko: Drum Master RPG

By Spencer . May 29, 2014 . 12:01am

Taiko: Drum Master started off as an arcade game, but Bandai Namco Games keeps adding RPG elements for the handlheld versions. Now with Taiko Drum Master: Don and Katsu’s Great Space-Time Adventure it’s basically a monster catching RPG with drumming battles.

What kind of music is in the Nintendo 3DS game? "V" from Pokémon X/Y anime series, "Wake up!" from One Piece, the theme song from Castle in the Sky, and "Linked Horizon," the theme song from Attack on Titan.

Jpop tunes include "Mottai Night Land" from Kyray Pamyu Pamyu, "Fortune Cookie in Love" from AKB48, "Ikenai Taiyou" from Orange Range, and "Linda Linda" which is in too many music games to count.

"Brave Sword, Braver Soul" from Soulcalibur II, "Samurai Rocket" from Ridge Racer V, "Night and Day" from Ace Combat 2, music from the DS game Mizuiro Blood, and a Monster Hunter 4 medley.

Taiko Drum Master: Don and Katsu’s Great Space-Time Adventure comes out on June 26 for Nintendo 3DS.

Let it go from frozen?? noooooooooo lol

    • DyLaN

      What.

      • DragKudo

At the end it said Let it go.

        • Namuro

I wish people would let that song go already…

  • Hey guys, just wanna point out, Linked Horizon is the name of the band who did the Attack on Titan openings. The openings themselves are “Guren No Yumiya” and “Jiyuu No Tsubasa”.

Or maybe that’s only the case for Shingeki no Kyojin and they fucked it up for the localization Attack on Titan? (Because Linked Horizon is an easier to remember title than random Japanese.)

      Wouldn’t surprise me..

What would be the point in doing that? The Taiko series has never left Japan, so there’s no need to change the name, and I’ve never heard the song being referred to as “Linked Horizon”; even in the dub. Not to mention the official names (Japanese, English, German…) are easy enough to translate or find online (even Google Translate has it). It’s just a mistake in the article.

What’s the point of calling it Attack on Titan if we don’t even talk about a localized version? Same thing, a localization for this article.

      • Uh, what?

No, that isn’t the case at all, since these are songs that are also available on iTunes, and they’re referred to by their Japanese names even on there, and they’re properly titled.

so, the band is the one who responsible in OST for Bravely Default??? reallyy?? woowwww, their songs are great

      • Yeah, they actually are! Sound Horizon made a new band project called Linked Horizon in 2012, who went on to do Bravely Default’s OST, and then the two opening songs for AoT.

    I love the RPG elements.

  • wahyudil

localized with all of the Japanese songs please …

  • Nobody

That doesn’t really excite me, given that all the parts other than whats in the OP for Attack on Titan isn’t very good (to me, at least). Listening to the full song was kind of a let down, actually (and I almost always prefer the full versions to their TV counterparts).
