Daidouji and Rin appeared in Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus as DLC characters, and according to the game’s official website, it looks like they’re already in the mix for Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson for Nintendo 3DS.
To catch you up to speed, Daidouji is a legendary third-year student at Hanzou Academy, who speaks in an old-fashioned manner. She postponed her graduation, and currently believes that Rin is still alive. In combat, Daidouji uses her overwhelming power to crush foes.
Rin is secretly a teacher at the Academy of the Serpent as Suzune. She was also a student of Kiriya, who appeared in Senran Kagura Burst, and she was also Daidouji’s senior at the Hanzo Academy. After being involved in an accident and saved by the headmaster from the Academy of the Serpent, she became a teacher for the serpent.
Rin used to have a cheerful personality in the past, as her goal was to become a Super Ninja. She uses a giant shuriken-like weapon with blades that she can spread out and close during combat.
Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson will be released on August 7, 2014 for Nintendo 3DS in Japan.
