Square Enix’s Million Arthur Now Has A Romance of the Three Kingdoms Version

By Eugene . May 30, 2014 . 3:31pm

Square Enix’s Million Arthur game has a spin-off in Asian territories. Million Arthur: Carmen Of Gladius throws the Arthurs into an alternate realm, one set in China’s Romance of the Three Kingdoms. And it’s in Korean. Talk about multiculturalism!

The backstory has the various Arthur hopefuls from Million Arthur jumping into a gateway, which transports them into the Warring Period of China. In pretty much every other respect, it’s just like the main game—players have to collect card versions of characters such as Zhuge Liang, Cao Cao and Liu Bei.

These then get formed into decks to do battle with foes while exploring the world. And there’ll be plenty of voiceovers, though they’ll be in Korean.

As far as we’re aware, the game hasn’t made its way to Japan or elsewhere just yet, though the trailer above is in English…   Million Arthur: Carmen of Gladius is out now on iOS and Android.

Million Lore isn’t out in western app stores but it has the choice of English if you download from korean app store. I never figured out why it’s popular at all, the entire thing is on auto mode basically.

This game is in Singapore App Store if I remember correctly.

    • DyLaN

For me, its the art style and the plot. But honestly, I think MA have a better plot and art style.

  • Jean Alcantara

As always, DON’T pursue Lu Bu.

    • DyLaN

Is that a joke/meme frm Dynasty Warrior or something?

      • Jean Alcantara

Yep, if he shows up, he’s not to be messed with.

        • Shin

Man, those old days, i always just wanted his red hare horse.

        • DyLaN

(Un)fortunately, this ver of him only OHKO you in a scripted battle XD

      • GVmanX

A line from one of the characters was once quite literally: “Do not pursue Lu Bu.”

  • NightzeroAX

I was interested until I saw iPhone.

  • Callonia

I cannot play million arthur cuz it refuses to let me register anyways.

  • Warboss Aohd

King Arthur throw into Romance of the 3 Kingdoms

If this was a Dynasty Warriors like game, RPG, or RTS, that premise would be AMAZING.

    • DyLaN

Its has NOTHING to do with the Million Arthur except the main 3 Arthur being a bonus boss. The plot is pretty stand alone.

      • Warboss Aohd

then someone needs to make a game where King Arthur is thrown into Romance of the 3 Kingdoms.

  • Thomaz Barros

Geez, people should try looking into another historical periods
Heres one that nobody as ever used

I’m sure no one used that one

    • Thatguy

Doing Sengoku game for Korean people is bad thing. VERY bad thing.

    • DyLaN

Wasn’t there a Sengoku Musou or something? And I’m pretty sure other games also did it be4.

The recent Kamen Rider Gaim also uses a sengoku theme.

    • shuyai

wait what? Sengoku has been done to death in both game and anime /manga just like romance of 3 kingdom, eg Basara,Samurai warrior, Nobunaga’s ambitions, shogun total war,Tenchu,Onimusha,
Kessen, ways of samurai and tons other

      • Thomaz Barros

        That was the joke people!

I’m saying that because these are the only periods people ever do something with them!(Besides WW2 of course)

    • Warboss Aohd

Sengoku is done to death, to the point i’m honestly sick of it.

      pick another time period.

Also the Koreans are NOT gonna do that Era, That’s the Era when Hideyoshi Invaded Korea……that was not a pleasant time for Korea.

Anyway, it’s been done more than even freaking The 3 Kingdoms era.

  • Yaggyu

but the game is in english when i played it
