Atelier Shallie Takes On A Formidable Foe

By Spencer . June 9, 2014 . 12:55am

Shallistera and Shallotte are back with another look at Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea. This time the two alchemists take on a tougher enemy in the game. Kortes, one of Shallistera’s childhood chums who fights with an oversized hammer, and treasure hunter Jurie join the battle.

One of the key techniques the video demonstrates is a Variable Strike, a special kind of assist attack when a third character jumps in.

Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea comes out on July 17 for PlayStation 3.

    This looks awesome. i have played all previous ps2/ps3 atelier titles this one could be one of the best in the series personally i loved the Chibi2d Atelier on Ps2 alot but this latest in the series looks very neat loving the battle system ,Menu style looks so good too .

    Juris is WAY cooler and why nothing on Ayesha? It’s gonna bother the hell out of me if I don’t see what she’s learned about the world

    I love battle system in Atelier Shallie. Game looks very awesome. I still hope that time limit will not be in this game. Gust, this time you make really excellent game.

      I read on Twitter that they got rid of the time limit. You can’t see it on any screenshots anyway.

      I finished Atelier Ayesha yesterday (even though I still have to unlock lots of characters ending and beat extra bosses and such) and wow, I really like the vibe and “mature” feeling from the Dusk Atelier.
      Time to buy Escha&Logy, and I’m really looking forward to Atelier Shallie. :D
      I’m still impressed on how they can manage to release one Atelier game per year with an increasing quality each time. They are still low-budget games (not judging, that’s the kind of game I like the most ;) ) but oh god how addictive they are. AND THOSE MUSICS ARE GSJKSHGKQ, Ken Nakagawa was great but I think the new composer also does a great job, definitely would like some Piano Collections. ;__;

  • Anna Scruton

    Good grief this game is gorgeous. I really hope they bring over the Vita version of Ayesha so I can get into the Dusk series. I’m truly regretting not owning a PS3 to play these beautiful games.
