By Spencer . June 13, 2014 . 4:00pm

bbof1ad There’s a BlazBlue card game in development and surprisingly it isn’t a localized game from Japan. BlazBlue: Battle Cards is being made by Alliance Digital Media.

Players will be able to pick one of twelve fighters and use a deck with different attacks and special moves. BlazBlue: Battle Cards supports online battles and has leaderboards.

Artwork for BlazBlue: Battle Cards is from BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma. The game is in development for iOS and slated for release in fall 2014.

  • Here’s a short trailer for it:

    • no love for android? lol

Fascinating, now the only question is when does it come out and will it be free to pay?

Bleh, another card game. Still, it’s BlazBlue, so I’ll be at least willing to check it out if Arakune is one of the twelve fighters.

    Huh. Interesting.

  • RichyGaming

Hate card games but im giving this one a chance. I support this!

I have an Iphone but it sucks. Give Android some love!

  • Chef Chef

    hmmmm hope its fun

Kind of funny. We hear of a mobile game from Japan, we boo and hate on it. Coming from America though “This seems kinda cool, I’ll check it out.”

    • RichyGaming

Well it’s not really something you see everyday. I’m not gonna hold my breath, but I’m still looking forward to this.

    • Well it’s a companion piece to a real game. The disappointment sets in when developers start working on mobile titles in lieu of full retail releases on proper gaming devices.

      • Miss_Madness

It’s pretty simple. For example Capcom. They release free to play mobile breath of fire game that shall not be spoken. Now if they had released a full game on a console, vita/3ds or pc and that mobile game no one would be mad.

        Another example with Capcom.
Megaman Xover would have been fine it there had been an actually megaman game out around as well.

Here blazeblue had a game come out recently and this isn’t touted to be part of the main series. so everyone is fine.

I think that’s because people tend to want different things from different developers and when they hear that company is releasing a phone game or card game they get disappointed its not the “hyped” game they where hoping for.
It has nothing really to do with it being Japanese created or Western. It about “the game” itself, I think anyways :/

    • Herok♞

I personally don’t boo any mobile games unless I try them myself or know they are complete garbage granted I don’t have a mobile device myself so yeah.

  • Go2hell66

This got a better e3 trailer than guilty gear?

  • Aristides

It would be pretty awesome if they brought it over to PS Vita/mobile :P

  • jsecula

ios only! bah! bah i sayyy!
