Hyrule Warriors Treasure Box Includes Hero’s Scarf And Mini Treasure Chest In Japan

By Spencer . June 16, 2014 . 9:06pm

Tecmo Koei often makes elaborate limited editions for their Warriors games in Japan. Hyrule Warriors, the Dynasty Warriors style game with Link in it, is no exception.

In Japan, Hyrule Warriors will be published by Tecmo Koei. The Treasure Box version includes Hyrule Warriors for Wii U, this Triforce clock, a code for three courage costumes, a code for three wisdom costumes, a code for two power costumes, a hero’s scarf, and a mini treasure chest. The treasure chest plays a sound, presumably the Zelda treasure chest chime, when you open it.

Hyrule Warriors is slated for release on August 14 in Japan, September 19 in Europe, and September 26 in North America.

Why us westerners cant get good things? :<

    • keithmaxx

For a start, urge Western developers to build games for Nintendo and their franchises. Maybe then could the devs push for limited edition bonuses in the West. Ubisoft did that for Europe for Watch Dogs.

For most titles is’d rather be milked for the game alone. Don’t need a super deluxe for everything I buy. Between doc in nice but useless irk stuff is’m never too excited about spending 100+ on an arguably 60$ game.
That being said Hyrule warriors is an exception and I want this. But something yearly or soon to be biyearly like watchdogs or batman? I got trades and hardcovers to buy. No time for that

On topic, we have a trend of buying en masse and digitally at that, statistically

It’s a thought but a game franchise as large as Zelda, and a similar argument could even be made about the size of TK, shouldnt need fans to beg to open their eyes to the tons of potential sales being missed out on.not to mention all the pissed US customers. this is one reason I really don’t respect Japanese devs and prods but I guess it goes both ways. Im really just uber jelly so I go elsewhere w/ my $

  • Ben Sylvia

Japan gets all the neat stuff.

  • Well dang, the Triforce Clock was a great start, but a Hero’s Scarf too?

  • Xmas Lopez

Aw man, that scarf is cute as hell. I’m totally gonna get my hands on one of those, be it official or fanmade.

  • Raymond

damn it! i want that scarf!

  • Max Eisenhardt

    Ninty of Murica

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

    Damn, I want that scarf.

  • 3PointDecoupage

Why cant they make a limited edition with all that stuff and not the game?

  • I would love to see Wind Waker-style Link & Zelda character models pop up as unlockable skins in the actual game. S’all I wanted to say. That image up top is a big tease if they’re not in…

OH! But for anyone who wants a Zelda chest that makes that noise, you can do what I did and make it yourself – it makes a great gift for a nerd and isn’t too hard to make! Instructables link: http://www.instructables.com/id/Legend-of-Zelda-Treasure-chest-with-sound/.

  • idrawrobots

I wonder if Toon Link will be playable.

  • TerrenceEncore Jones

Dear KOEI, Please let this be the first Treasure Box we in the US get with a Warriors/Musou game. PLEASE!

    • Daniel Jeanbaptiste

You mean Nintendo since they are in charge overseas

      • TerrenceEncore Jones

        Thank you for that correction.

  • thelmas

I want the limited to arrive in europe, i can’t import one for 200€ whene the geme is region locked.

Also i know it’s not really news but if there are 3 courage skins (probably link) 3 wisdom skins (probably zelda) does that mean that the 2 power skins are for ganondorf? I really hope so.

  • I want that Treasure Box edition *u* PLEASE NINTENDO, BRING IT TO US AS WELL! T_T I’ll give you all my rupees.

  • David García Abril
  • Bur

Stop teasing me with what I cannot have. Please. Please.

  • Christopher C

ugh, no love for US/EU fans eh?

  • ホリースター

There are mistakes in the article. There are 2 limited. The ”normal” one (11,644 yen) comes with the triforce clock and dlc. The second one is amazon limited (14,904 yen) and you get all the stuff, treasure chest and scarf… :(

    • Aunna Terrell

I’m sorry, but this article specifically said Treasure Box and listed all the correct items (minus the databook) in the Treasure Box collection. Though yes, KOEI is known for making Premium Box (aka the “normal” limited edition) and Treasure Box collections for their musou and otome titles. (The previous article about the clock mentions the two collections and what comes with both.)

    • God

So the scarf and chest alone are worth 3,260 yen? Sadly, that isn’t so expensive for game merchandise… though 11,644 when the only difference is a clock and a DLC does seem exagerated when compared to the original…

  • Nan

i ordered the treasure box set…hopefully someone will buy the game on ebay/amazon with the codes after it comes out. not exactly holding my breath, buuuut…I don’t have a japanese wii u anyway lmao

  • kenshinx13

  • SlickRoach

I don’t even have a Wii U yet and I’d import the Hell outta dat scarf!

  • Kornelious

If only Nintendo could make us a Limited Edition this Awesome :(

  • MagiusNecros

    Scarf looks like a towel.

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

man I want this! I would use that scarf everyday….We better not get a damn poster in the states
