Fighting game developers French Bread and Arc System Works recently teased a new character for their upcoming PlayStation fighter, Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late. Gamer.ne.jp shares some new details on the character and his fighting style.

1

The first thing you notice when seeing Byakuya are the multiple “claws he has around him, which are put to good use in his fighting style.

In addition to being able to stall opponents with his web-like net ability, Byakuya uses his eight claws to attack from a distance.

With his eight claws and webbing, Byakuya’s battle style sort of resembles that of a spider who is out to get its prey.

The above is his Infinite Worth move, “Become a Part of Me”.

And finally, here’s a look at Byakuya’s Infinite Worth Exist move, called “Endless Nightmare”:

okay seriously, instead of making new characters for an old fighting game why not make this playable on a handheld system like ps vita? -_-

    • DaiRaiOh

Probably because it’s not for the original game…

    • AkuLord3

That’s…a dumb thing to say. Like yeah a vita version would be cool but having more characters is more important yo

      • spyro20

you’re dumb cause you don’t understand the fairness of what games could be necessary to play on certain systems, this game is old AND hardly unheard of anyway, which is why it’s not like most people would walk into a game store and notice this type of fighting game anyway since it’s not popular. ps vita i believe so far has less fighting games made playable on it, instead all you will find is mostly trashy indie, platformer, puzzle, and life-simulation games. i also like games like “under night in-birth” thats and i believe that it best fits into a portable system as well.

    • Ouch My Head Said Dionysus

This is actually the first non-arcade release…

    • ForteWily

Careful with that… Their are policy’s against port begging.

    • MasterScrub

Probably because it’s not even playable outside of the arcade yet?

  • Go2hell66

    Heaven Sky’s Atmosphere!!

is english really that hard of a language???

    • nick_54g

if it aint your first language then yea it is

      • Go2hell66

i dunno sometimes it feels like they’re butchering it on purpose :/

        • http://nabe.kokidokom.net/ Cybersteel

That English, it so cool, sunnavabitch

          • Go2hell66

if i didn’t get that reference i’d be so offended right now

        • AkuLord3

Yeah not like people with english being their native language and butchering it up…nope those don’t exist~

          • revenent hell

Funny enough ,I find the people who’s native language isn’t English tend to write it better than those who’s native language is more often than not.

        • Triplicity

UNIB’s color palettes are the best palettes in any fighting game ever because each one is named. Go look ‘em up.

        • nick_54g

i think they just like to put things together that they think sounds cool lol

    • revenent hell

Well… Some people use the “literal” translation for things and then they just sound ridiculous, and sometimes there is no literal translation so they have to use what would be close to the meaning. Hence why when localizing a game the translators will
tend to change the names of things sometimes just so it wont “sound” silly. I’m sure this will end up being called “Heavenly Sky Fall” or something like that if/when it gets localized.

Can’t wait to play this game! I’ve been looking forward to a console release ever since it first appeared in the arcades.

  • aizen310

    Byakuya?
For a man possessing such tremendous, fearful power, I’d planned something special.

  • DeadLineDance

Only commenting to say that just based on the thumbnail, he looks like Yuu Narukami

  • fairysun

This game has similar flavor like Fate Stay Night.

    • Kelohmello

Considering this is the creators of the Tsukihime fighting game, in all likelihood they were attempting to go for something similar to the kinds of things Nasu writes.

  • Natat

Damned Narukami, ready to claim Top Tier spot in every fighting game. His conquest has just begun…

  • Kornelious

This game is looking very smooth, hoepfully Aksys or whoever will pick it up for localization later (Since it is an Arc System fighting game)

    • dj_jm09

Its actually created by developer French-Bread who is known for creating the Melty Blood series. Arc System is only porting it to PS3 for them and that will likely be it. To my knowledge none of French-Bread’s games have ever been localized officially for console release.
