First Look At Dungeon Travelers 2 For PlayStation Vita

By Spencer . June 18, 2014 . 11:38pm

PlayStation Vita is getting another dungeon RPG, well a DRPG port. Aquaplus is bringing Dungeon Travelers 2 from PSP to Vita.

Dungeon Travelers 2 for Vita has been upgraded with a 3D map and improved graphics. In addition to the typical fighter and mage classes, Dungeon Travelers 2 has a maid class with skills like Devotion where you can give your TP to another character and Ecstasy which boosts attack and dexterity when you’re at 1/2 HP.

Dungeon Travelers 2 is scheduled for PlayStation Vita on September 25.

Is the artist for this game the same one who did the main char art for Monster Monpiece? I like the art regardless.

    • Shippoyasha

No, it’s from the core Aquaplus/Leaf people. Both worked on To-Heart I believe.

Great game by the way. The new classes, artwork and the 3D map should make it even better.

Is one of them Hisashi Kawata?

        • Shippoyasha

          Yeah, alongside Mitsumi Misato.

  • edit site is fixed again. sorry for the weird comment.

Now if it got localized, it would be

    the tits.

    • Agreed

    • darke

Alternately you could say it would be breastacular. :P

  • I really like the look of this but I’m broke septmeber, though if it doesnt sell out I can bundle it with the Akiho Senomiya from robotics;Notes model in November

Hoping it gets localized. Vita is really getting a lot of games I want to play but with its state in the US, it’s hard to know if they’ll get localized. D:

  • RedSuisei

Vita is really getting a bunch of DRPGs lately, which is a good thing for me. Unfortunately they have such a slim chance of getting US release :(

I really hope Demon Gaze’s Western release did well enough for NISA and other companies to consider picking the other ones up.

    • PS Vita Roundup

I posted the Demon Gaze maps on my blog and they got hundreds of hits a day for the first month, and still get 50+ every day now. Either a few gamers are really, really stuck, or the game is pretty popular around the world.

Actually Vita games have a really high chance to get localized. Just look at all the anouncements and releases in the last couple of months.
It may be, that the Vita does not have as high unit sellings numbers as the 3DS, but the attach rate of Japanese third party games or indi-games is extraordinary high (Most 3DS buyers just buy pokemon and two or three mario games, but no third party games, while Vita buyers are mostly adult and core gamers). The industry knows that and so the Vita actually has more games in total (just comparing Vita/3DS games, not PSP/PSX/DS/etc.)
And the same applies for localisations of Japanese games, of course. There has been no console other than the PS2, which comes to my mind, that gets so many localisations of Japanese games, so fast. Almost every important Japanese Vita game comes over sooner or later, which really does not apply for most systems. So I would say, the chances of a localisation are pretty high.

      • RedSuisei

I hope you’re right, but I get a feeling this has lower chance than the rest, being an Aquaplus title with more borderline material than the the average Vita stuff. So far the most questionable stuff to come to the West was Monpiece, and that was by IFI themselves because no other publisher was willing to.

        But I still hope you’re right :)

        • Khoo Neekang Kazuki

The Aquaplus fighting game DID came over so…..

          • Yeah, that is what is keeping my hopes up and strong. If Aquaplus fighting game came to the West, this game should definetly see light here as well sooner or later!

        • Arrngrim

And don’t forget IFI censored it themselves, I own both a NA & JP copy of Monpiece and trust me….they didn’t just censor the “loli” characters…some pretty sweet CG they cut out of “oppai” imho…

  • FitzpatrickPhillips

I wonder if you have to play the first game to understand this one. I’m about to complete Moero Chronicles so I’d like to get this next.

  • DingLayGorFe

I hope Shahid is working his butt off on this one

  • Kornelious

On a quick note, There are a LOT of Dungeon-Crawling games on the Vita and I’m sure a lot of us pick up one of these because of the art style…..So if a game was bought based on how it looks then this definently would be a Day-One for me! XD

Seriously though This, Operation abyss, and The Stranger in the Village of the Sword NEED to be added to the west’s Vita-Dungeon-Crawling-Collection! :D

  • So hang on, I’m confused. The last article seemed to imply the DT game featuring the ToHeart2 crew was coming, and this one is about the non-ToHeart characters. Are both coming, or just this one?

It’s their fault for making such a confusing duo of games, but clarity is desired for my thick skull!
