Universal Studios regularly teams up with Capcom for special attractions of the latter’s video games. They’re now about to bring back Resident Evil  with Resident Evil The Real: 2.

This real life version of the zombie apocalypse will run from the 8th of August till the 11th of September. Similar to the Monster Hunter The Real attraction earlier this year, it’ll feature parts of the theme park transformed into Racoon City.

We’ll bring you some shots when we see ‘em.

Is this some sort of theme park type of thing like a jump scare right mixed with light-gun arcade action?

In all honesty, I prefer if Resident Evil should be rebooted to like it’s older title or maybe like Amnesia in which it’s just you and some zombies in a dark and empty house, no guns, no Redfields, no Racoon Cities, no Weskers, no T-Viruses, just survival horror.

Yeah…no~ Not EVERY horror game needs to follow that, it gets boring after a while. Yeah having no combat to defend from monsters is SPOOKY but like early RE and Silent Hill games, even with combat, its still scary (well Silent hill, Resident Evil had its moments but it was the chessy B movie stuff).
Also if no T-virus? then where we get the zombies? COME ON MAN

The first time they did this was similar ti somelike dusney land where u walj around zombie infested areas n at certain times throughout the day there would special lil events wit some characters coming out recreating scenes or some of the bigger baddies showing up

      Gotta love spell check huh

This is just my opinion but using no weapons is starting to feel like an excuse or an easy way to make their games scarier than they actually are. Also taking away any of those elements wouldn’t make an RE game, just some average zombie game off the market.
