Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit was actually sold as two separate games in Japan. Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit – Pack A which came out on March 20 had Hanzo and Crimson Squad characters. About a month later, Pack B was released with the Gessen and Hebijo ninjas from Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus. Pack B is shown in the video above.
Users could buy either Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit pack for 2,315 yen or a set with both Pack A and Pack B for 3,889 yen if they purchased both packs *before* Pack B came out. Afterwards, both the Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit Pack A+B set cost 4,167 yen.
Xseed clarified how Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit will be sold in the West. Instead of Pack A and Pack B, Senran Kagura: Bon Appétit – Hanzo X Crimson Squad will be the main game, which is basically Pack A in Japan. The Gessen X Hebijo or Pack B will be sold as downloadable content and not a separate game.
"This was done in order to meet our shorter schedule with the development team, since releasing it as a second full game would take a lot longer, or at least more time we didn’t have to spend with the dev team’s tight schedule. So you will have to buy one half to get the other, but they are bundled in the same exact way Japan is, so it’s not much different than Japan’s. The only difference is, I believe, that you can’t download the Gessen x Hebijo pack independently," a representative from Xseed explained.
