The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening Shows It’s Two Heroines

By Spencer . July 1, 2014 . 1:10am

Nippon Ichi Software is developing a sequel to The Guided Fate Paradox. This upcoming PlayStation 3 game turns you into a god just like the previous game, but in The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening players will make difficult decisions that impact the story.

One early choice is which heroine, Jupiel or Arle (both shown in this video) that you’ll share a room with. That’s basically a warm up for other branches that determine what kind of character Shin Kamikaze develops into.

The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening  is a roguelike where you explore grids full of monsters. Shin can transform into God Mode and either draw holy powers from Jupiel or dark energy from Arle.

The Guided Fate: Cross Thesis Awakening comes out on September 25 for PlayStation 3.

    lol difficult decision HA

    • Notquitesure?

I want to pretend to understand but could you explain please.

      • transferstudentx

one of the main main heroines of this game kinda remind me of
Kurisu from steins gate guess who

        • DyLaN

Arle? Or do you mean Jupiel since she share the same VA w/h Kurisu?

    • Kudos as Steins;gate is the best anime I’ve ever seen

  • John Hayabusa

Best ending: the main hero dies instead and the two heroines become a happy couple.

  • Kornelious

Now THIS is my JAM!!! :D (Head Bang Fist Pump!)

It just keeps getting more and more interesting, now we have a baddass white-haired Antagonist to contend with, along with the difficult decisions and rougelike action, This game is gonna rock!! :D

I EXPECT a localization from you no later than next year NISA! >:D

    • DyLaN

Kamikuro is definitely the sure fire NISA localization. Now its all up to when will NISA announce it.

  • WyattEpp

More excitingly, I believe I saw diagonal facing! Which would imply eight-directional movement!

    • DesmaX

Oh, the wonders of the third dimension!

      • WyattEpp

Not really the third dimension. Eight-way has been a feature of roguelikes since…well, since Rogue. (So for about thirty-five years, now.) Even a lot of the Japanese-style persistence roguelikes have it (e.g. Shiren; Elona; Izuna). It opens up a surprising number of possibilities in terms of traversal and mob management, so I was surprised when the first game only had four-way. (This isn’t to say four-way games are bad or anything: Dredmor is one of my favourites!)

  • I still need to get the 1st one

  • Niyari

anyone know who voices Arie (red hair)? she sounds so familiar.

edit: nvm i just remembered. Takane and Yuuko lol

  • Hexodious

Well then, this is what I call a hype-filled surprise. I was honestly not expecting a sequel.

I beautifully ragrolled during the first game and overcame the odds, so I hope this game is even more unforgiven. Yes, i’m a masochist, don’t judge.

  • Alex Cattaneo

Man soo many games comming out for the ps3 (mostly jrpgs)

  • ShinNeoGranzon

Considering the fact that there are apparently multiple sections of Celestia, I can’t help but hope that this game is happening at the same time as the first and that Renya and Shin run into each other. Also, I’m assuming that the white and black wings shown around 1:40 in this video are replacing the divinigram? They look like your typical upgrade/skill tree. I hope not, I quite liked the divinigran system

    • DyLaN

Nope, Kamikuro takes place a few years after TGFP though its stated that the 5 female angels are returning.

Frm what I can understand, the new “divinigram” will use a thing called CP instead. Its obtained through either leveling up, improving your relationship w/h Jupiel or Arle (?) or by the Ultimate Choice. Its split into both Devil and Angel side and it correspond to the Devil and Angel God Mode.

  • Oh yeah, that trailer definitely has me pumped for this =)

  • DyLaN

The main site is also updated with a ton of stuff for those who can read moon/want to look at pretty pics. There also the Ultimate Choice poll as always. This time its abt picking your desired twitter icon.

For the result of the 5th poll abt choosing whose room to enter, to no one surprise Jupiel won again.

Btw, this is the girl with Monokuma palette that appear for a split second in the trailer. She is Latisia, a girl who appear in the MC dreams and most likely the Mysiel equivalent of Kamikuro.
There also a bit more screenshot in the link above.

Hmm…. I kinda prefer the villain devils designs in TGFP. Maybe its the butler outfit? But their design are pretty good on their own especially Inugami “God Mode”. Pheles reminds me of the Kukuru Tepes frm Seraph of the End though.

I’m surprised that nobody reported on certain guest (cameo?) characters yet from other Ito Noizi series.

This was posted a few days ago @dengekionline, so it should be legit.

    • DyLaN

Thanks for posting this. Now just to wait for the larger scans.

Cool cameo of Haruhi and Shana. (And maybe the LL! SIP girls?) Though I’m wondering how is Liliel appearing on Celestia considering what happened to her in the ending for TGFP.

      • Subaru

Love Live! girls won’t be in it. Afaik, their voice actors are all voicing the various heroines in the game as well… that’s why they’re depicted ^^’

    • DesmaX

Oh. So that’s their thump card?

This might sell more than the first game now

    • MrTyrant

  • MrTyrant

I like the music in this trailer. Sadly the other blonde and the girl with an eyepatch are not heroines that could have been cool too.

  • God

I just hope you can make Shin into a relativist, i don’t care if it makes them both live, or both die, or if it destroys the NIS multiverse, i just want a relativist main character…

  • Alestaos

Should i get the first game? Was it any good? Its really cheap at my local game store for €30, so was just wondering if anyone knew?
