Chances of the us not getting this have hit overlimit.

      Am cry

Some years ago I would have absolutely agreed with you, but now? Namco is localizing lots of niche games, and since Tales is again a relevant franchise in the west and they have been satisfied with their 3DS niche efforts (especially Project X Zone with its surprising sales) Reve Unitia could be coming too.

      • DeAndre Atchison

That does make sense. All we have to do is wait

      • Sentinel

Tales of the Abyss also sold well on the 3DS from what I heard. I think the 3DS has a good fanbase so far for the Tales games.

  • Muddied_Waters

Annie! My favorite angry revenge-seeking sweetie from ToR! I always like to have her in my party even if plenty of others think she’s useless. I was already planning on getting the game, but she further cements my decision.

  • Kenny Loh

I think now we should calling her Kohaku Hearts, not Amber Hearts anymore lol

    • Sentinel

      • Ladius

Because she will be called Kohaku in the upcoming Tales of Hearts R localization, which overrules her previous localized name in her Tales of Graces f cameo.

  • Princess_Eevee9

Can’t remember but have we Jade or anybody for that matter from Tales of Abyss? And if Ruca is there I demand to see Hermonia please and Anise… hell I just went everybody back then! :D

  • 永次

Her name is Kohak Hearts -.-

    • Sentinel

Not according to Namco it isn’t. Not for over here that is.

      • Ladius

That is true for her cameo in Tales of Graces f, but they reverted her name to Kohaku for Tales of Hearts R’s localization.

  • Yan Zhao

Can we add an English language too?

  • Ni ~Algidus~

  • Ladius

Considering Namco’s satisfaction for Project X Zone’s sales (the previous NPD leaks were really surprising) and their effort to localize more and more Tales games, I think this game has a chance to be localized too.

    • Spirit Macardi

Actually it’s Tales Studio that controls all the localizing. Namco as a company doesn’t offer any assistance to them, and this is straight from Baba himself.

      • Ladius

This is probably some kind of misunderstanding (wouldn’t be the first time for a Baba interview) since Namco Tales Studio has ceased to exist as a separate entity and merged with Namco in November 2011 and, even before that, the series’ localization schedule was still decided by Namco since Namco Tales Studio was a fully owned subsidiary.

What he probably meant is that the coding part of the localization, like text re-insertion, (Tales translations have been mostly outsourced by Namco to 8-4) still has to be handled by the original team and thus has to be planned within their schedule, which is true for most localizations.

        • Spirit Macardi

I can personally believe it. It’d explain why the games take so long to come over, and why some corners would need to be cut such as Tales of Hearts R not being dubbed.

After all, the company has a horrible history of treating their franchises poorly.

          • Ladius

To be honest, I think Namco has been doing an awesome job in the last years regarding their Japanese offer in the west. We all criticized them for the lack of Tales localizations in the post-VesperiaDotNW years, but it’s impossible to ignore how things have changed since then.

In the last years we have had seven Tales games between those already released and confirmed for localization (Abyss 3DS, Graces f, Xillia, Symphonia Chronicles, Xillia 2, Hearts R and Zestiria, plus Phantasia iOS for what it was worth), Project X Zone, anime games including less common licenses such as JoJo and the upcoming Sword Art Online HF, Level5’s Ni no Kuni and, of course, From Software’s Dark Souls and the usual Dragon Ball, Tekken and Soul Calibur games.

Even more so, they have drastically reduced the delay between American and European releases while improving the localization in European languages (Hearts R being EFIGS surprised me), and lots of their games have been getting really nice Limited or Collector’s edition too, not to mention the Day One editions for some of their titles. For Tales games, we have been getting the latest PS3 games (ToSC and Zestiria) announced simultaneously for Japan and the west, which is kinda remarkable in itself.

    • Ric Vazquez

      Hopefully it will

  • Is it still appropriate to call her Amber Hearts? I thought her name was going back to Kohak(u), at least in EU?

I’m happy though~! I want Meredy and Kohaku on a team together. ♥

  • Kornelious

Amber is love, Amber is life…..And whatever other emotions she loses XD
