Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate will have a whole lot of monsters along with new equipment for players to wear. In addition, the game’s Felynes are also seeing some new cooperative features, and the official website gives us a look at some of these.

This strange-looking Felyne horn sounds like it’ll be pretty handy, as it can raise the Hunters’ maximum health and stamina.

To top it off, it also plays a tune that has an effect that gradually restores health for Hunters.

The Felyne Acorn Rocket is said to have enough power to knock over monsters.

You know that you’ve got yourself a solid duo of Felynes when you see them using everything they’ve got to crash themselves into a monster!

This baby is made to imitate the Flame King Dragon Teostra’s blazing powers.

Not even the toughest monsters out there can withstand its scorching flame attacks.

Since you’ll be traveling around with your caravan troupe, it’ll also have a special area for it where you can also do some fishing, as well.

  • Dascylus

All of this beats the living crap out of the horrible partners from MH3U

    • Ruins72

      yup

      • Bellyzack Celisfair

Felyne always do the “Last Hitting” for me

    • Ric Vazquez

      Agreed

  • Guillermo Oliva III

Wow, that felyne is amazingly wild to handle such monsters and sadly….. it is going to use up its nine-lives XD

  • Anewme…Again

That’s nice maybe Felyne will finally be useful, until now they have been only good for buffs and restoring health.

    • Ruins72

They were solid damage dealers since P3rd, and great overall from then on. 3U’s shakas were a step back.

      • Guillermo Oliva III

Nah, the Shakas are “ok” and they can help pretty well.

    • Luis Enrique

Sounds like you never trained your felynes to place shock traps and L bombs. Felynes have always been hella useful.

      • Anewme…Again

I never bothered with that, i prefer setting traps and bombs myself, at least that way they are placed where i want them.

        • Namuro

If you didn’t “bother” to train your Felynes, how can you expect them to be useful? LOL

          • Anewme…Again

God peoples don’t know how to read properly…
I never said i didn’t bother to train them, i said i didn’t bother to train them to place traps and bombs, because i don’t want them to do that…
Seriously how the hell we can’t train them anyway, just by bringing them with us on mission they gain experience -_-

          • Namuro

I’m not talking about simply levelling up the Felynes, but choosing the right types and customizing them to suit your needs as well. It’s all part of the “training”.

I mean, imagine bringing along a Felyne with a timid personality that prefers to attack small monsters with only healing skills, then of course, it won’t be of much help in a fight against big monsters. Or how about bringing a bomb-type Felyne when you’re using melee weapon; you’ll just keep getting interrupted by the bomb-spam.

If you can’t be bothered to train, as in “choosing the right type”, and “customize the skills” to match your play-style, then they won’t be very useful.

  • Mavalex

    >Free stam and hp boost
welp that sounds like its staying with my felynes forever

  • Elfaia

I’d still prefer to hunt alone to be honest. It’s a pain to chase the monster around the map with my gunlance.

    • Guillermo Oliva III

It’s no one fault that you have a weapon that slows you down like a slug :S

      • Elfaia

On the bright side, I can hold my own against any monster.

        • Guillermo Oliva III

Well, you are not useless in Multiplayer-mode :)

  • Dylan Anantha

Is that a Sima Yi felyne on top of the tank?

    • Namuro

And there’s a Helghast Felyne on top of the rocket, too.

  • WyattEpp

Great, now they’re going to be dropping even bigger bombs on me. orz

That flame tank is adorable, though.

  • Namuro

It’s amazing how someone can stand on that net while fishing!

    • Spider-Man

      That’s my webbing!

  • ivan012345

Finally felynes that can support me besides slashing monsters

  • ShawnOtakuSomething

    about time….

    • ianschopa

still at least 6 months out. Crazy they couldn’t have this ready for this year considering they totally skipped 4.

      • Guillermo Oliva III

They probably want us to have the new features, fixed areas/weapons, and whatever that comes with it. So, while some of us enjoy MH3U and some new Mon-hunters(Like me) are being introduce to the series is not such a bad thing.

  • Lemski07

    uber hyped

  • Ric Vazquez

    Hyped as humanly possible

  • SlickRoach

Max health & stamina increasing Felynes? They just slapped jet boosters on the back of this hype train!!!

  • Ren Yuumei

    Holy crap i cant wait
