Phantasy Star Nova Battle Demo Live On PSN In Japan

By Spencer . August 11, 2014 . 11:12pm

psono Sega created a battle demo for Phantasy Star Nova. This preview of the tri-Ace developed hunting game lets players fight Agrios, one of the Gigantes monsters made for the PlayStation Vita game.

Phantasy Star Nova’s battle demo supports up to four players for local multiplayer. The demo will only let players try battles. Characters are premade for the demo so you won’t get to try character creation or progress through the story. If you have a PlayStation Network account registered in Japan, a spare memory card, and don’t mind resetting your Vita you can grab the 1,180 MB demo right now.

Phantasy Star Nova is slated for release on November 27 in Japan.

Demo doesnt work on vita tv…but they said already that final game will work,,,Wow they are lazy as fuck to not make the demo compatible…

    • Wappuli

      Wow, really? That’s pretty lame. . .

Also, I think there should have been atleast some sort of character creator in the demo.

can’t wait to hear the feedback base on this demo. Have high hopes for tri-Ace

“This preview of the tri-Ace developed hunting game lets…”
Sorry dude but this is a RPG 100%, it’s not a hunting game.

    • The Watcher

have you even played it yet?

  • Chu

I got a chance to play for an hour, unfortunately I couldn’t get the
local multiplayer to work. My first impression was wow the game has
impressive visuals, especially the textures on the environment.
Unfortunately the game does suffer from frame rate issues here and there and mostly noticeable during the boss fight, I’m assuming the game is 30FPS and during the boss fight it’ll sometime drop to 18-20FPS so
combat during boss battle isn’t really smooth. I think it’s understandable because the boss is huge and the frame drop becomes noticeable when the boss spams missiles or when your support uses AOE heal.

Ugh, timed demos are awful. Pile is a fun weapon to use. Too much frame-rate instability.

    *sigh*

Once again, hate to be the buzzkill but. SEGA already announced they have no plans to allow this game to be released in the Western Market in any form. Until I hear/see a story about them changing their minds, I don’t see why people who aren’t gonna import the game, or can’t read Japanese, should care.
