m3a Bandai Namco picked up the rights to make a video game based on M3 The Dark Metal, an anime series where a group of students fight corpses in the Lightness realm.

M3 The Dark Metal: Mission Memento Mori is an adventure game based on the anime series. Players will be able to zap between eight members from Team Gargouille. When each chapter begins you can select which character you want to play as. The way the story unfolds will be from the perspective of the character you picked and the dialog choices you make will influence how the story plays out.

M3 The Dark Metal: Mission Memento Mori is scheduled to come out for PlayStation Vita on November 20.

I keep forgetting to check this series out; I hear it is subpar but I might as well give it a look, and maybe this Vita game might be half decent.

    • ZEROthefirst

Just note it starts off very slow and while it definitely gets much better it kind of fluctuates on how good it is.

    If Iwato and/or Raika die….

You get a LIM! He get a LIM! Everyone gets a LIM!

      …………….Anyone but Heito pls.

I dropped it at ep 6. Did it get better (weirder)?

MUCH BETTER. this is just slow , but the payoff is worth it. also get ready to see the MC suffering A LOT

Much better/weirder. I started out hating this show, and now I more or less look forward to it every week. That’s never happened before.

I’ve actually been meaning to watch the anime i’ll probably get on that soon.

Since the anime is totally ignored in Japan and they even cancelled the single anime release DVDs. Can’t see the game doing much.

  • deadMastershiro

    This can be so good!

  • DyLaN

Definitely the most random game announcement I’ve seen XD

It better have Tsugumi route since the only reason I sat through the first half is the mystery abt The Lightless Realm and her.

I actually dropped this series, but I think I’m going to pick it up soon based on what people say, although I stopped at episode 9 or so. I’m surprised it’s getting a game.

Whenever I see Memento mori, I always think of “memento mori when the nineth lion ate the sun” from Virtues Last Reward.
