Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Curtain Call is expanding with a song from one of Final Fantasy XI’s expansion packs. "Melodies Errant" is the battle music from the Vision of Abyssea battle area add-ons. This BMS song is now available in Japan as DLC for 150 yen.

Square Enix also added "Nascent Requiem" from Final Fantasy XIII as a DLC battle song. "Ipsen’s Castle" from Final Fantasy IX and "The Megalopolis of Salonia" from Final Fantasy III are DLC field songs for the music game. Like "Melodies Errant," each downloadable song costs 150 yen.

I’m much more excited about Ipsen’s Castle and the Megalopolis of Salonia. Those two are unforgettable to me.

Melodies Errant is good, but it gets old fast if you’re level grinding in Abyssea – La Theine or some such place, to the point where I got sick of it and started muting the game and playing my own music in the background. Then again, when level grinding, all but the greatest battle themes are gonna become annoying and repetitive.

Megalopolis Saronia isn’t my thing at all. To each their own, but it always felt bland and annoying to me.

Can’t say no to another final boss theme (would’ve preferred Born Anew as the DLC Orphan theme, but oh well, maybe in the future) or an A Place to Call Home remix, though.

I hope the next character is Sabin. My thirst for suplexing trains has not been quenched yet.

    • They haven’t added any characters since DLC 08 and this latest one.

I know, I’ve been checking. I’m still contemplating on Vincent, but I think I’mma save my last 290yen for Smash Bros so I can just add 5,000yen and have enough since Smash will be 5,200yen,
