NCSoft’s Lineage Eternal Keeping Up The Fight, Entering Closed Beta This Winter

Lineage Eternal: Twilight Resistance from NCSoft has been pretty quiet for years since its announcement some time back at GStar in 2011. Not for much longer. The game is now aiming for a closed beta test this winter, ThisIsGame reports.

While it’s hard to tell what is and isn’t still in the game, when it was announced there was talk of a “Drag and Hold” system. This gave players more control over exactly where their skills would land in the action-RPG styled MMORPG.

Lineage Eternal is linked to the first Lineage rather than the second game. You can see the 2011 gameplay trailer for the game above.

Looks like a standalone Diablo style title only with tons more enemies and effects.

Have we entered a generation where people haven’t heard of Lineage now?

      • Godmars

This doesn’t look anything like “standard” Lineage. Like I said, more like Diablo, but with a broader, larger, scale and may more enemies and effects on screen.

Eh, I can see where you’re coming from but it still looks like a modern envisioning of Lineage to me haha.

Except you’re wrong. The original Lineage looked and played similarly to this (a diablo like game). It was only Lineage II that went with the standard mmo gameplay.

Agreed, it looks like Diablo-ish game. Top down style. There are many games coming out from korea that are like this.

Meanwhile, in the land of Blade & Souls…
