onepgb-01 Bandai Namco has been incorporating anime theme songs in their games like J-Stars Victory Vs. and the Kamen Rider titles. Usually these are sold in special editions or are as extras. One Piece: Super Grand Battle X, a fighting game from Jump Ultimate Stars developer Ganbarion, has three One Piece themes available for early buyers.

First print copies of One Piece: Super Grand Battle X include a set of Grand Battle revival stickers, Grand Battle reversible package, items for the smartphone game One Piece: Treasure Cruise, and three One Piece anime theme songs. "We Are," "We Go," and "Wake Up" will be available as background music for the Nintendo 3DS game via downloadable content.

  • I wonder if I can get these bonuses if I import day-1… hopefully… or hopefully they just announce a localization beforehand so I don’t have to import lol

    • Igiari!

Even if you import, don’t you need a Japanese 3DS?

      • Yes you do, unless them homebrew makers figured out some way to make the 3ds reigon free…

        • JAY

If they did, you wouldnt be able to access the JAP e-shop on a non-jap 3ds. So no DLC and/or updates unfortunately….Nintendo and their region-locks.

      • yup, I got one for Smash, haha. I’m lucky in that I work a job or three so I can afford to import consoles, but the average people can’t (I mean, it took me forever to justify importing a 3DS) so region lock really sucks, haha. Shame Nintendo is too stubborn to change.

I hate how this stuff is being announced and the game is out in just a few months… And No respected retailer is doing preorders yet… :-

November 18th? Did they change the release date? Could’ve sworn this had a December 18th release. Oh well maybe that just means we can get it faster!

    Bandai Namco’s exploitation continues.

It wasn’t a problem to get the license for countless Dragon Ball and Gundam songs in the past and in my uneducated opinion, it should cost them the same or close to the same to license it out for a small set of downloads as for every copy in the game. They just see the chance to get pay for the content.

We Are and We Go have been heard in Ganbarion’s library of games for over a decade… I guess I am still planning to get this but if I hear even the slightest chance of DLC costume bs like their last game. I’m out. I haven’t played a Ganbarion 2D game with costume options before, but requiring us to buy tons of other stuff makes Streetpass/Spotpass unlocked content look good.

At least, their choice in songs seems good so far but I won’t be surprised if they sell tons of songs (intros, outros, insert songs and more) instead of costumes as if they are Recochoku or something.

Dang, 2 of my favorite opening songs as DLC. Sign me up. Hopefully they retain the bonus when they release the game in US.
