While no details are provides as to what kind of attacks Reppamon will use, we can assume that it will fight using its tail-blade.

If this Champion level Digimon is as strong as it was in past games, it’ll likely be a formidable ally to have around for battles.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is in development for a 2015 release on PlayStation Vita.

    A FOX! :<
    I must haz this game!

  • Raze

    Its attack?
Must be the likes of wind blade or anything like that

    On other topic
I still need to see Stingmon
    C’mon Bamco!!

    • Renaldi Saputra

Stingmon will absolutely be available in the game.

      and for Reppamon’s attack:
      1. Kurukuru Rekkuzan (Rolling Sky-Splitting Slash)
      2. Jūga Rangeki (Frenzied Beast Fang Attack)
      3. Shinkū Kamaitachi (Vacuum Razor Wind)

      and more

BTW, this game will have a new trailer today, is it?

  • http://shadious.tumblr.com/ Vince

Well, with the technological advancement in video game graphics, Vademon is now out of his saucer, as his tentacled bottom half back then would be complex to animate years ago.

    • Renaldi Saputra

lol, you just remembered me about this
      http://wikimon.net/images/1/10/Vademon_Digimon_World.JPG

      • http://shadious.tumblr.com/ Vince

Yup. His 3D character model was like that for the first three Digimon World games and I believe even in Digital Card Battle game too. He only get a full model starting in that Digimon Adventure PSP game. (Unless his character model there was also imported from Re: Digitize.)

        • Renaldi Saputra

re:digitize psp doesn’t have vademon IIRC, it’s on Decode

  • Renaldi Saputra

    Reppamon joins, means there’s Sleipmon.
We need more Royal Knights, especially the last one, Jesmon.
    Therefore, we need Huckmon.

    • http://shadious.tumblr.com/ Vince

Reppamon is Kudamon’s Adult/Champion, was it?

      • Renaldi Saputra

        yeah it is
as for the previous digisto series, it evolves into tylinmon and sleipmon

    • Steven Higgins

I think it’s Hackmon. It makes more sense for it to be that way given that it has the dual meanings of “chop violently” and “break into a computer” and your character IS a hacker.

      • Renaldi Saputra

apparently it isn’t. In the official reference book it’s spelled Huckmon in Roman alphabet.
Sometimes the katakana pronounciation has double meanings (Hakkumon -> Hakku = Hack/Huck)

        http://digimon.net/cat-digimon-dictionary/06-ha/huckmon/index.html

I believe the word Huck is derived from Huckleberry Finn, one of old novel character. If you compare the personality of Huckmon and Huck Finn, it fits each other.

They do Huckmon same as what they did with BelleStarmon and Magnu/AvengeKidmon, their name are derived from a person’s name from local history/novel character

        • Steven Higgins

But according to wikimion it’s derived from “hack”

          • Renaldi Saputra

wikimon hasn’t updated from reference book

          • Steven Higgins

Aww, but I like hack better.

          • Renaldi Saputra

but Hack in kinda generic for me. Huck is definitely better as what they did with the digimon I’ve mentioned before. It also proves that digimon cares with local histories and old novel inspirating characters

          • Steven Higgins

But hack has two meanings, one of which is perfectly suited for the digital world and the other is perfect for a sword/warrior/dragon thing.

Besides, if they’re going to make a Digimon based on a literary character it should be more then a nominal reference it should actually LOOK somewhat like the character, like they did with Petermon and Tinkermon.

          • Renaldi Saputra

Huckmon wears a long cloak and is an adventurer, I think it represents Huck Finn

          • Steven Higgins

That’s kind of a stretch for me. I mean look what they did with the ones we mentioned, those where much better references. BelleStarmon and AvengeKidmon/Magnukidmon where outlaws just like their namesakes. Petermon, Tinkermon and CaptainHookmon all reflect the characters they’re based on physically, Huckmon is a just dragon with a cloak. And if he’s Huck Finn, then that would make the Sistermon sisters Tom Sawyer which doesn’t fit at all.

          • Renaldi Saputra

Sistermon is Widow Douglas and her sister. Tom Sawyer… hmmm it doesn’t fit indeed

          • Steven Higgins

The only other one involve with Hackmon is Gakoomon and he’s based on an Emperor that unified china. Not some southern teenager. Pretty sure it’s Hack. Makes more sense

          • Renaldi Saputra

well, whatever. Anyway it can be both, depends on what you prefer to use

          • Steven Higgins

Until his name is officially dubbed anyway, unless it’seems completely unrelated

          • Renaldi Saputra

dubbed? I guess you can’t rely on the dub naming

          • Steven Higgins

            Not usually, but sometimes.
As long as they use either Hack or Huck I think we’ll be fine for this one.

          • Fenrir

Nope, Wikimon seems to be fully aware of the reference book’s name and have kept it as Hackmon. It’s worth noting that the people at Namco-Bandai are certainly capable of screwing up romanizations with their inconsistency so I would side with Wikimon on this.

          • Renaldi Saputra

Well, I guess so. The official reference book had even given awkward romanization for Phantomon and Ophanimon. But, well, I guess you can choose both Huckmon or Hackmon. For me I’ll stay for Huckmon coz it’s more inspirational

    • ネオフォトン ~ Neo

It’s definitely Hackmon, ’cause it’s not a long a being used in the romanization. If it were a long a, then yeah, it’d be “Huck.”

Aside from that, the red scarf is just a typical design element applied to a lot of leads in Japanese media. Ever noticed in plenty of tokusatsu series how the leader is donned in a red outfit? Or, for an older example, Yatterman-1 has a red mask/scarf-like ribbon. A modern example would be Nippon Ichi’s Disgaea leads (though I believe a few of their non-Disgaea games have similar trends). It really doesn’t have anything to do with being a literary character reference.

      • Renaldi Saputra

but in the official reference book, it’s “Huck”
        the link is below

        • ネオフォトン ~ Neo

To be fair, Japan’s not the best with their own romanizations. Going by his profile, “Hack” is more suiting.

          • Renaldi Saputra

well, I guess so. But after comparing it with the “Huckleberry Finn”, the personality fits

  • Guillermo Oliva III

Sadly, I sorta gave up on Digimon ,since they did not release the remake of “Digimon World 1″ for the PSP. So, sorry fans and I respect whatever you have to say negatively about this comment of mine : /

    • Renaldi Saputra

but they made a re-mastered version for 3ds, and Bamco now acknowledged digimon campaign, so there’s still hope

      • Guillermo Oliva III

Let us see, I was very hurt to not local release Digimon RE:digitize for the PSP. So, I hope they act on releasing it soon.

        • Renaldi Saputra

PSP is dead in west. So I think it’s reasonable why they didn’t do it back then

          • Guillermo Oliva III

Yeah, I replied to “subsamuel01″ that they could have done a digital-release like Final Fantasy III. Also, thank you for the reply anyways :)

          • Renaldi Saputra

and there will be a very few people buying a digital-only release

          • Guillermo Oliva III

Hmmm….. I am not sure about that ,since there is still PSP owners playing their psp.

          • Renaldi Saputra

You don’t know why there are no localization of PSP games since 2011? Coz no one is buying the game anymore bcos they did piracy to play the game

          • Guillermo Oliva III

Wow…. really? that kinda sucks :/

        • subsamuel01

The PSP was dead when that game came out so its not a huge surprise it didn’t get localized.

          • Guillermo Oliva III

I guess you are right…. they could have done a digital release like Final Fantasy III. :(

  • ableh

    add Bankimon should be great

  • Anna Scruton

I want this game so very badly

  • Steven Higgins

God I hope that petition works. (i already signed so no need to reply with the link Renaldi)
And I want Hackmon as a partner now that his entire evolution line has been revealed, especially since he’s the 15th Anniversary Digimon.

    • Renaldi Saputra

yeah, Huckmon is the mascot, it should get more love

    • Fenrir

The most that petition will do is get Bamco to *think* about localization. There was never a guarantee made that it will result in a localization for (preferably) Cyber Sleuth.

      • Steven Higgins

I know that and they’be at least acknowledged it. Now they just need to know if there’s enough interest for them to make a profit.

  • Snorlaxation

Please bring this to America! I will always love the Digimons! But seriously, another game for the Vita would’be be bad either, so it’d be a double win!

  • Abysswalker90

    Reppamon AND Vademon.

This game’s roster is starting to look more and more diverse than I originally anticipated.

  • Vash bane

    ._. so many digimon

  • subsamuel01

Really hope this game gets localized.
