New Nintendo 3DS Will Have A Bunch Of Custom Design Plates

The New Nintendo 3DS XL will have a few limited edition versions in the near future in Japan. Meanwhile, the smaller New Nintendo 3DS will get a bunch of changeable design plates, featuring different characters and patterns. Nintendo gives us a look at the first batch of plates.

 

Here’s a look at the first 38 plates that were revealed:

The prices range from 1,000 yen ($9.61) to 3,000 yen ($28.85). Again, these plates will only be available for the smaller New Nintendo 3DS.

 

The 38 plates shown above will all be available when the New Nintendo 3DS models hit stores in Japan on October 11, 2014. Nintendo also plan on releasing new designs over time.
