There’s a mysterious rare disease called the “Eden Syndrome” that seems to affect those who heavily access Cyberspace Eden. It is said that the cause is from the illegal modding of the Digivice that overloads the cranium nerve with data. And also from something called “Brain Jack” which still remains unknown.

In order to not stir panic to the world, those who’ve been affected are in isolation at a hospital with a special facility. This is also where the protagonist meets a mysterious girl…

In addition to local servers where important data are kept, you’ll also go into the deep data space of the cyber world using the protagonist’s special Connect Jump ability to get in.

However, there will also be all kinds of network security which will need to be hacked. This can be done by using Hacking Skills from the Digimon to unlock security and get access to information.

The number of Hacking Skills increases with the more Digimon you have, in addition to their types and levels. There will also be some rare skills that can only be acquired through specific Digimon that you can only get from events.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is in development for a 2015 release on PlayStation Vita.
