See How That Senran Kagura: New Wave x Drawgirls Crossover Plays

By Eugene . September 7, 2014 . 12:30pm

The folks over at Toast have released a new trailer for their game Drawgirls, a picture-discovery game, and their collaboration with Senran Kagura: New Wave.

In the above trailer, players can see how the game is actually played. The goal is to fill in the photo as fast as possible by drawing lines over the girls (Thus Draw… Girls…) outlines. Successfully doing so rewards you with a card and alternate art if you do extra good. Yes, there are jiggly physics in here too.

Other than powerups, the interesting thing is that foes will also be able to erase your progress. There’s also a quick retreat button for when things get hairy.

Drawgirls will be out for iOS and Android.

  • So it’s QiX then?

  • teetonify .

iOS and Android? Eww, I liked the draw game that I played on a Japanese arcade machine, mainly because it was actually challenging, being able to see the whole screen and a ton of enemies made me plan my moves carefully because they could follow me, and I had to be aware of them at all times. A phone screen just seems to small to be able to capture the craziness that goes on around you when playing the game, at least in my experience.

It’s a simple enough genre to make it work on the handheld though.

  • When things get hairy? More like, when things get jiggly….
    Ha ha…
    Okay, that was terrible.

    • Xerain

Could have been worse. You could have made a Will Smith reference.

  • Eejhat Wahs

I hope they get added in Estival Versus

  • Kornelious

Well if that’s the reward then I see why people play this game :P

  • Aside the graphical content, I like the idea and concept :)

  • Strawberry Starlet

I read ‘powercups’ instead of ‘powerups.’ And wasn’t surprised at all, given this is an SK game.

  • Aristides

o-o a Qix clone featuring SK, what will they think of next. Wouldn’t mind playing it but is there a way for westerners to download this?

    • Dgrinn

For ios devices you just have to create a japanese app store account with an email, for android devices you can ask other people who zip them up and share them online.

  • Dgrinn

I used to love these games back in the 90’s, any other similar ios game we can dowload before this comes out? The first ‘DrawGirls’ game is sadly taken down from both the android and ios stores.
