Yakuza Zero Has Classic Arcade Games That Can Be Remote-Played On Vita

With places like Kamurocho and Soutenburi to visit, there will likely be plenty of arcade centers in Yakuza Zero, similar to past games of the series. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine reveals some of the titles that will be available. [Thanks, Zaregoto.]

By visiting an arcade center, you’ll get to play some of Sega’s classic arcade games such as Space Harrier, OutRun, Fantasy Zone, and Hang-On. Additionally, Yakuza Zero has been announced to have a Remote Play feature with the PlayStation Vita like Yakuza Restoration, and these games will be playable on Vita, too.

Yakuza Zero also adds new play modes like the “Cat Fight Gamble,” where you’ll bet on bikini girls fighting based on their weight and battle capacities, and the “Telephone Club” that test your conversational skills with girls. You might be able to take them out on dates if you play your cards right.

There will be a “Disco” and “Pocket Circuit” feature as well. The game also have a bunch of other mini-games like Black Jack, karaoke, pachislot, fighting arenas, and batting cages.

According to the report, Yakuza Zero won’t have any experience points, and upgrading players will all be done through money, which is pretty fitting for the era the game takes place in.

As far as how you’ll get money in Yakuza Zero, it seems like it’ll be much simpler as you’ll get more cash depending on how flashy you take out enemies, or by doing powerful attacks. Each character will also have their own unique systems.

Kiryu’s side of the game will also have a new feature called the “Kamurocho Money Island,” where you’ll get to use stores and businesses as means of profit. You’ll also get to meet characters from sub-scenarios to use them in this feature as a way to control Kamurocho’s economy, peace and order.

Meanwhile, the other protagonist, Goro Majima, will have his own little feature with the “Soutenburi Nightclub Island,” where the goal is to run a cabaret club and aim to become the top. There’s a total of 30 girls, and you’ll need to raise them to have the best personalities for the job.

Yakuza Zero is in development for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
